We where going to go to Alpine, WY but loos like Colorado getting more snow.
Anyone willing to give some guys from Oregon a few tips on where to go around steamboat springs? We tree ride in the cascades when we have snow. We all have beacons and avalanche bags.

Thanks Jeff

First tip... Don't stay in a ski in ski out place. You pay for that luxury and since you ride, it's not a luxury you care about. I prefer to stay closer to highway 40 than to the ski hill.

Second tip... Be very careful this weekend. Avy danger is off the charts right now. Check CAIC website every morning before you ride. http://avalanche.state.co.us/

Third tip... Make sure you don't ride in any wilderness areas. They are designated for hippies on skis and wildlife that wants to sleep and not be woken up by BRAAAAAAAP!!!! Ranger Rick can be seen wearing a dark green jacket and riding a 4-stroke with a tall windshield. His tickets are really pricey.

Fourth tip... Start out on the trail, then duck into any good looking fresh trees and get some! Always be aware of where the trail is, and always make sure to explore up not down into a drainage.
