Ordered a Yamaha/Push turbo

i agree with you but 90% of my idaho riding is between 3000-6000 feet elevation. it isn't until you are in southern idaho that the elvation goes up.

I might look into it though.

Timmy - you had to haul race fuel last year anyways - same thing - put a little octane in a go!!

If you run good premium at 8lbs of boost you wont have an issue.....with no engine mods. Have you got a good yammie deal close by?

Pretty sure the amount of canadians considering buying a yami from across the border just doubled.

Ya but that isnt what yamaha canada wants.....why not let people who shop and buy here who want a great reliable 180hp sled with warranty the chance to own one. Not everyone wants to install there own kit ect ect. I still cant believe they backed away from this......

I agree with Thistledoo - as if I could have done locally the wife would be getting one (possible backup sled for me).

Longer respons time than MCX Kit

This turbo is mounted much farther behind what MCX their kit does, and it results in much longer response time. This is similar to the one on the rear mountad apex kit.

talked to my local dealer about the Canadian issue. Yami Canada told him the biggest problem would be warranty support to the customers. Yami in the states has techs in tech support that know boost and Yami USA has been playing with turbo's for awhile. The boys in Quebec have no clue. They see this kit has an added headache to their resources and want no part of it. This is what he told me.

From my understanding, it was brand of turbo chosen. Canada wanted to use a mcxpress and the states went with someone relatively new.

Just what I heard.

I think it sounds strange that they chose someone who have not mounted turbo on Yamaha until now. And do not choose MC Xpress that has mounted Turbo for years and have a reliable and stunning 180 hp turbo kit!
Quite strange if you ask me ..

Ya I was thinking the exact same thing.:face-icon-small-dis

why the arguement its only extra 40 hp for almost same price as a real turbo i guess my kids would like one on their sled or my wifes if i had one got a TNYTRO to replace her sweet trade

Maybe they should hire someone that does know something :face-icon-small-con The guys in Western Canada have been playing with turbos for years.

Somebody with some stroke was getting greased behind the scene! Welcome to big business.:face-icon-small-sho

To me reading between the lines it states that Yamaha is confident the motor can take 8 lbs so just go buy the low boost kit you like and slap it on cause its really unlikely you'll ever use the warranty anyhow, for sure thats what they are counting on. Just don't screw with the boost. Self insure so to speak.

FROM YAMAHA MOTOR USA WEBSITE:
" Important: The PUSH turbo kit is designed only for operation at elevations above 6000 feet. While installation of this kit will not “void” your snowmobile’s warranty, specific failures determined by Yamaha to have resulted from installation of kit components or other modifications may not be covered by the Yamaha limited warranty or extended service coverage "

What makes everyone think they are buying a turbo sled with factory warranty? Everything I've read sure makes it sound like it has the same warranty as any other new sled that we add a turbo kit to. If it has an engine failure due to the turbo it's your baby. If your having non turbo related issues they get resolved though your dealer/Yamaha warranty.
