I have a boondocker setup on a 2010 M1000. Long story short I've been having some challenges getting the darn thing to run below 7900 rpm's. Boondocker sent me a set of 85 Gram big dog weights and told me that would do the job. I questioned them a couple times feeling this would be far too light of weight. I was assured so I purchased them ($100.00). The results were that I was now spinning 8100 rpm's at 7lbs of boost. So I then installed a set of d and d magna force weights and loaded them to 94.5 grams. I then took it out and ran it on flat ground and it was spinning at 7450. The thing is it seemed like it was pulling extremely hard at this rpm. I have been told to run it at 7600 so I removed some weight and ran it again. This time hitting 7550. It felt to me like it was pulling harder at 7450. Anybody do any extensive testing on this subject and if so what were your results???

I like 7600 hunderd rpm works best all around . Mine pulls harder at 7400 hunderd but long pull 7600 works best. I have played around with many combos i like this the best 93 big dogs yellow/ white prim 38/46 fixed helix orange spring

Thanks... Curious to know what happened at 7400 on long pulls? Also what boost and elevation are you riding at.

Now I'm curious....this is on an 2010 M8 right? My 2010 OVS Tial kit is running 8400 RPM's and rips. At 7600 RPM's my sled is still in the mid range.

Same here....There is a world of difference between 7600 and 8400 on a 2010 m8 at 12psi.

Don't know much on that setup, but just wonder because the pipe builds the best power from 7200-7400, I know turbos are different??? My dealer told a friend of mine to run it under 7500.

Pipe end is cut off and changed this changes tune of the pipe i found .When pipe is wrap this changes tune as well.

Bd said my 09 m1000 pg should run 7300 rpm and weights they sent me were right on for 6psi. A heavier guy rode it and said he thought it needed more weight and saw 7500?Havnt played with it cause it works fine for my 165lbs,could be crazy but i think rider weight is a big issue.try having somone of a different weight ride it 20-30 lbs might make a diff.

Thanks for the info. What weights did they send you? They missed by a mile on mine. Like I said in the original post I was sent 85 gram big dogs and sled is running at 8100 rpm's. I had to up it to over 94 grams to slow it down.
