Opinions PLEASE!!!!

nothing worse than a flap that is too short. when i first saw these, was i the only one to asume thay were to to be (cut your own to the length you want or need). wow you guys are so damn hard to please....too long, too short, too soft, too hard, so tell me you have never made or improved anything you ever bought for your sled and then ***** about possably having to trim a snow flap to your exact liking! damn for those that like um short stop *****in you get 2 for the price of 1. dont like the logo turn it over. the next guy to buy your sled might buy it becouse of the logo. damn i hope it snows soon. sorry for the rant but i sure get tired negative people here.
sell the long flaps, have logos available...sorry im so *****y!

^^^ X 2
I 100% agree

a guy I know built his snow flap for his hill climb sled from a Semi muflap
complete with CHROME NAKED LADIES
thats the only time you need a mile long flap with logo
we trim our Skidoo ones on our revs because they tend to get in the way
build one that if it does bend it doesnt bend the mounting bracket as well
i need to replace mine before I can ride

Opinions PLEASE!!!! Reply to Thread

Another thing to consider is that a lot of sleds have reverse on them, not so good with a long soft flap, it only takes once and you have flap delete. If the flap has a mount that also angles the flap away from the track then cut to the proper length so this cannot happen that would be helpful.

You beat me to it. Long flaps do not work with reverse....especially backing off of a tilt trailer or ramp. Flap goes under the track and your hung. Mid length, with some flexibility. Too rigid will break off, too much flex will flap around and serve no purpose whatsoever. PLEASE tell me you guys are joking about the naked lady flaps..... you might be a REDNECK! :face-icon-small-hap

I guess it depends on what they cost...my honest opinion is not feeling any of em...then again i have a beat up flap off a semi cut down to size ready to go on mine, cost freebie from the shop....

Trucker ladies is a good idea got a few billet ones i ought to rivet on there :D

Same as above, Went to NAPA and bought a semi truck mud flap that has a picture of the state of montana and it says "BIG SKY COUNTRY". Took it home and cut it to size and works great. As far as length goes I would prefer a longer flap than shorter. If you could come up with something where it is a stiffer material for like the first 3-6 inches of the flap (the top of the flap that would rivet to the tunnel) then make the rest of the flap (bottom part) a more flexible material that would be the ticket. That way the bottom part has some give and flexibility and the top part would be stiff thus hopefully not folding back up to the bumper (which makes it tough to grab the bumper when stuck). Also maybe make the stiff part stick out at an angle away from the bumper a little bit so that when the bottom of the flap is hanging down it clears the track just enough to avoid getting sucked up into the track when in reverse. These are just a few ideas and in my opinion would create the perfect snow flap for a sled. If you can custom make anything PM me, I got some ideas and would most likely be able to buy a few of them for myself and my riding buddies out here in MT.

907 what you have asked for is what the stockers are!!! top part stiff bottom without gussets. little bit long. um....... stock sucks thats why this thread is here. snowflaps are the easiest thing on a sled to modify!!!! ripp it off or cut it down. you want bling on the back of your sled? dont ride with my buds thats for sure!!!
its go before show.

better GO LOGO

ever notice when you hit a parking lot, the big trucks covered with stickers and logos generally have some of the weakest iron covered with LOGO's and fresh paint............and quite a crowd some days.

Hey.................if it don't go.....have a logo.

wow thats a heck of a lot of snowflap!!!! i try to keep mine as short as possible, better watch out when you hit reverse...

did a john deere flap on a sled about 10 years ago.......

as for your flaps, looks cheap to me....looks like a job that i could do with a plain black truck flap and a printer.....

how about go boost or go home.......
if you cant run with the boost boys ..stay on the porch
boost does a body good......
boost it like you stold it.......

all lame.... sorry to the people who have that crap

overplayed like people said....but then again my sleds not boosted.....im not in the facebook club either....

do alot of people ride boosted sleds in Michigan....why...what are you climbing....a bunny hill.....

Ease up Homies!

You guys are all so cool for hacking on SledFreak for asking what might sell... I want to be just like you all some day!! Oh, wait, I probably was, 10 years ago...

I been honestly looking for a chrome trucker girl to toss on the flap on my sled... Just for laughs...

I'm jealous of the guy that found the Big Sky mudflap, I look every year when we go out west for that one and always come up empty. Want some for my truck too... :)

SledFreak, how about just a simple mountain logo for the mountain flap?? (Bad art attached...) Doesn't have to say anything, and then everyone will recognize who it came from, like a trademark for you?? And for us displaced mountain guys, how about a mountain flap with Michigan outlined on it?? (Please include the UP!!) Could do MN, IL, OH, MI, etc to let us show where we're from when we make tracks out west...

the rubber and plastic blend ribbed flap sounds on track. maybe make it contoured somehow instead of a plain old redneck flat peice of rubber. as for the lenth issue. do what yamaha and skidoo have for flaps, stock the flaps are long but there are sections that allow you to cut the flap down but still look good. i like the desgins so far, offer something where the customer can send in an image of their choice and you put it on the flap.
