Oops Throttle stuck+chainlink fence

By the pictures you could have at least rode it in snow ? Didnt know they made a 4x4 version ?

Glad nobody got hurt, looks like a good way to hang yourself from barbed wire

The $64 question is................did it need another motor or did you guys get it shut down in time ?

We're in wyoming and we dont have snow already at our shop. And actually it would've been worse if we were trying to load it up to take it somewhere! That would've been some damage. Yeah Brock was lucky thats for sure. Motor was fine, and the kicker was the throttle didnt stick anymore after that. I think Brock actually killed the engine right before the hill but the momentum was still there.

Oh wow... Whoops. One of those tuff calls when customer calls in and asks bout sled being done....

"Got one of my best guys on it, well he was on it"

Exactly! Actually we showed the customer the pics and he got a pretty good kick out of it since we replaced everything that needed replaced. I think he even put them on the under armor website or something. I need to ask him where.

We weren't expecting to need one. It was just out in our yard at the shop. Not enough time to react and pull the tether either. Next time we might keep that in mind though lol...

Never expect to need stuff like that till it's too late.

Of all the time you wear a helmet, how often are you actually using it for its intended purpose? :rolleyes:

Yeah I know, I own a few Polari...maybe could use a zip tie and point it at the fence? Still would like to see a Polaris test of their products...I think Bull is willing to provide a test mule. Maybe use a brick wall instead? :D :beer;:beer;

from what some have told me in the past, perhaps just running it into my head?:eek:

Yeah, Got Tether?

LOL

I NEVER fire my sled without it clipped. Even to load it on the trailer or drive it across my yard. LOL Ya never know.

I remember when flyweight's Thudner Cat took off across a meadow and there was no thether....LOL. Went a long ways and built a lot of speed before the tree assisted in the stoppage.

Talk about a bunch of underwear crawing up some individual's crack, funny chit alright. Always cycle the throttle a few times before starting it up. Lessons learned on your part, everyone's a fricken expert at one point on the internet especially thos that don't have the cajones to sign after red rep. Lol, even after grey rep that doesn't count.

lol........yer fired!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 posting those pics and name droppin the boss as the culprit.........

Bwahahahahaha! LMFAO!
When you said "boss" I assumed it was brock, then you confirmed it.
I can picture the whole event in my head... "This sled is fast, it got away from me" *bwock voice*
Sorry, but I have known brock since his old shop in layton... Good guy, but he is a suirl.
"I'm fast at downhills" "You guys trenched it up, thats why I didn't make it"
"Come on mike, let me try one more time".
Ahhh memories.
I agree, maybe you guys should stick to lexan and not engine rebuilds.
I'm sure if brock reads this it will piss him off, all in good fun brock:beer;
Give me a call and come ride with dean and I.
Your not still riding the 440 are you;)

If that were my sled I would be pissed and you guys would be buying me a new one with plenty of upgrades. What makes you guys think that you can ride a customer's sled for any reason unless you were doing engine work on it? Stuff like that is not cool and would not give you guys direct business as a result of it. Good luck getting yourselves out of this one.

So you give it back to a customer after working on it and throttle sticks and customer is killed hitting a tree or struck by a truck crossing a road etc. My guess they had to Touch the throttle cables in order to put the whole panel and hood kit on.

HUH!!!

Good Luck With That
