Oops! One tough sled

So I didn't make it up the hill climb and turned out. Gassed it to get around this tree on the downhill but the sucker jumped right out in front of me. Bailed off to the left side when the sled slammed the tree.

Banged up my leg a little but thought the sled was totaled. The left ski was pointing back ward and looked like the a arms were ripped out, the hood flew off and the front end was crushed. Pretty far out with the only way out another hill climb to get back to the road.

Turns out the a arms were bent a little. The tie rod got flipped over the top a arm and we were able to set it back straight (unbent). The plastics popped back out with one crack in the bumper, cracked belly pan, cracked side panel and small one in the hood. The exhaust has a small dent and broke the support bracket on the can. Rode it back out just fine!

Anyone else surprised by the 1m surviving crashes or was I just lucky?

na

haha im not surprised at all 1ms are bullet proof my brother totaled his sled rode it out insurance sent it to a scrap yard and its probably still sitting there in the exact same condition

Pretty impressive how well they hold up.

I wonder how a new 2011 431lb polaris 800 pro would hold up? I guess we will find out. (If they really hit their weight mark)

Lighter isn't always better.
