What did you use to replace the steel rivets at the back of the skid rails after coating?

Those are Ice Age rails and come with bolts to install these. I replaced them with allen head stainless.
Do you happen to remember the size bolts you put in there? I am anodizing my stock rails and need to replace the steel rivets.

After talking to AKSNOWRIDER several times, I decided that I should take some extra precautions so that I don't bend the tunnel again. Taking a page out of his playbook, I made my own inserts and covaer plates. I don't have any pics of the cover plates, but I do of the inserts inside the stock plates. Also, to make it stronger, I took the bulkhead apart so I could glue it with Lord 406/19. Then while I had it apart I decided to get the two pieces at the rear of the bulkhead PC'd to keep snow from sticking inside the tunnell in front of the drivers. Then I looked around at all the pieces laying on the shop floor. Off the powder coaters went some more pieces. Including the Wildchild gauge relocator.:beer;

Reassembly has started and is going well. Installed tunnel on bulkhead using Lord Adhesive. Thanks again to AKSNOWRIDER for the advice. Although I didn't use his pieces, I would recommend that anyone that has a Pro, do his upgrade, either before or after they bend. (Cheap Insurance) This is an inherent problem of the Pro chassis, mainly because of the bullet proof bulkhead. It's amazing that a hit to the ski or spindle can cause a tunnel to bend.

Here is a picture of the insert plates before the new cover plate is installed.

And after the cover plate is installed.

And the other side with the Avid chaincase and the cover plate. Notice that both cover plates extend back to the new suspension mounting pount due to the 1/2" drop and 1" back mounting points. I am starting at 1/2" drop instead of the 1" drop to try and maintain the great characteristics of the Pro and also to decrease attack angle.

Wow Mark, awesome job, looks factory ....It slowed the assembly a bit..but I think in the end you will end up with a better sled for doing it..awesome job and keep them pics coming....mike

Sweet job Mark, sure makes the better boards we put on Mark's M7 yesterday look insignificant, lol:jaw:

I can't wait to see this thing in person!:bounce:

I thought you might have dropped by this weekend. Got a small hurdle to go over now though. Found out Sat eve that those beautiful PC'd Ice Age rails are actually 174's.
Not sure where we go from here.

oops I did it again

Sweet Sweet Project, looks like you are raising the bar,
Looks like it should be in a parade first.
Good luck.
