I don't need Bullsh!t right now. In your experience, if you were to join an online dating service that you were going to pay for, which one would you join?

it'd depend if you just wanted a meaninful one night realitionship or something a little longer wouldn't it?;)

but i've never done anything like that, but one guy from our town did that match.com thing, not sure if thats where he met the gal he's with now or not though.

WOuldn't you just want to scan the sites and see what looked best to you though?

My buddy met his wife on a local one. I think that's probably a better option at least then there's no long distance BS. But I guess the others can do that too.

But Craigs list can get interesting too!

Trust me dude I feel your pain. I travel constantly and am never in one place long enough to get a name or phone number let alone something that could actually turn into a relationship. I'm not into picking up skanks at dive bars or the sport tagging either so I tend to just be alone. Besides my career path has left a tremendous number of broken families in it's wake. I've thought about the online thing many times but never really tried it due to the career thing.

I do a few of them..match.com is pretty good but I think yahoo personals is better..give either a try..start out just making a free profile....and then when you find something worth your time..pay up for a month....

I tried plentyoffish.com a while back.. totally free. forums are a good read sometimes. Met a few hotties there and even dated some for a good length of time.. I noticed that the people on the online sites are even pickier, or are out to never meet someone.. LOL

E Harmony.

My wife and I met there about five years ago. Still going strong. Take your time and answer the questions truthfully. It will take some time but I think it's a good place to start. I was tired of effing around at the bars and clubs.

Good luck.

Tim

On-line dating is 99% for sport f%^king. Everyone there is always looking to upgrade....even yourself. I did it a bit a few years ago....but you'll find that even when you're "sorta dating" someone you met on there, you are still checking out new contacts and e-mails from others. And guess what? Your date is doing the same thing. Not really a solid basis to have a relationship.....if thats really what you want. I went back to the ex that annoys me the most(from long before the on-line scene)....and we're doin fine.

Exactly right DaveB. I'm guilty myself.
Did a few online dating services, with no real luck. Every now and then, someone makes a connection, but the majority doesn't. But Good luck to you!

Just lay it out there, and tell them what your looking for. If you aren't into sport dating, tell them that. If you like medium weight girls, that are brunettes, say that. You just have to meet a lot, to find a good one. Just don't give up.

Met my wife on Yahoo Personals. Match.com is good and so is E-Harmony. If your at all religious, there are several online sites for the various religions as well. Sometimes it helps to find someone with simular beliefs.

Plenty of fish is free and has some decent looking chicks on it. Match.com worked for me way back. I'd start there. You don't have to pay unless there is someone you want to contact.
