one ski wonders rocked at northern utah!!!!

well it was a 110% success!!! BAM film people rocked as well getting shots of us in HD, we will have a taste soon enough, but just for a teaser, here is ONE pic of things we were pulling off. thank you! to everyone that was there!
lets hear all about it guys.
But on the main note, the explorer kit is the real deal! 20 people rode it and every one of them rocked on it like they had been riding it for the whole season!
good job to all involved in the project, including AD Boivin for creating such incredible machines!!!

God blessed us today!

Thanks for the test ride!
My friend and I got a little ansy and had to go ride, sorry for bailing early.
The snow hawks are the real deal! Man do those things get up and go.
Would love to have a hawk, but IMO not as a replacement for a sled... Would have to have both, and thats not in the cards right now.

My honest opinion on the explorer kit was that the kit itself was very sano and straight forward, definately a quality kit.
The thing I didn't like about it was that it made the crf 450 a turd!
Not enough power IMO to justify buying a kit for my mxer... I think they would be hard on clutches, if not valves also, being under a load all the time.
Fun kit, and easy to ride... Maybe with a husaberg 650 it would go better?

Thanks again for the test ride.

Please fill us in a bit more, what didnt you like about the hawk? are you a serious dirt bike rider? No doubt the 1ski machines are not for everyone. When you felt the explorer was underpowered was that in all circumstances or climbing hills? Im very curios about your observations.

A.D. Boivin's Explorer Kit works great

What a day for the one ski crew, fresh pow and lots of sun in Utah. 8 hawks and on explorer kit bolted up to a CRF 450. Loved the terrain and views in Utah and what a great group of people. The new kit was a ton of fun. With Boivins pivoting ski in the front and a 48 in track on back the thing was a side hilling machine and turned on a dime. Towards the end of the day I actually got the beast spinning 2nd gear donuts in a ten foot circle spraying snow all over. This kit lets you adjust the track assembly foward or back depending on what you want to do, and with it bolting direct to the swing arm you aren't a mile in the air like the 2 moto kit. You can actually touch flat footed when you stop. I think for $3000.00 you can not have more fun in the snow. This product will be fun in the field, mtn's and trail. Now I know why it is called the explorer, when you get on this bad boy you just want to disappear through the tight trees and into places you have never been. What a incredible weekend, thanks to 877 snowhawk and B's outback motorsports.

fuel~~~~

Thanks Cailen,
We loved having you there to tear up the mountain, and when i say mountain i mean it!!! As you all know i am a flatlander from the east and this trip sure was an eye opener. Just in one day i have so many stories i could share, but most of the readers on snowest already know what i went through, cause it's your backyard! The reason i called Cailen up Thursday night and offered to fly him in, was by seeing his video's and keeping a close eye on his website http://www.mccbrothers.com i wanted highly skilled one ski riders to put this new product to the test! And let me tell you we had more than 6 highly skilled riders that rode the Explorer Kit on sunday. i hope the others will give us all their view as well in the next few days. After this weekend i even gained much needed knowledge on our product. To address the robbing of power claim earlier in this post.... people must keep in mind this bike we had it on "crf 450" has 1/3 the HP of most sleds out there, and it is not to be mistaken to be a rocket, but as Cailen stated, you can go anywhere...hence "Explorer" and it was going places that people dare not follow with a sled. and the best part after all day riding it used 4 gallons of gas! While the other machines were using 8- 12 gal.!!
with the price of fuel and the price if the explorer makes you think! Anyway we will have more info released when we get the videos posted

Stay tuned
Mike

WOW! That sure was fun!
I want to thank Mike for bringing the kit out for us to enjoy! Awesome!

Shae, thanks for letting us flog on your CRF 450.

This Explorer kit really is fun to ride, floatation to weight ration is awesome. It makes my hawk feel like an Apex trying to get thru the tree's (and I can really fly thru the trees on my Hawk). In other words, it really is a nimble mountain goat. Easy to carve with, excellent sidehilling and easy to pick up when your getting carried away and lay it down.

It would be fantastic if all your pals were riding the same thing, makes it more of a skill thing.

Anyway, we had a good time, and it was great to meet everyone!

I'll try to find some pics to post.

I can't believe that I missed the meet! I gotta believe it was the most fun a guy can have burning gas. The terrain looked to be in perfect shape for the test rides. There have to be more pics and footage for us to look at! More, More, More...:beer;:beer;:beer;

Ahhh the hawk...

I love to watch Cailen ride. To bad brother Brian wasn't there, the two of them together are the funniest thing you've ever seen.

Its great to see the machines together. Its two brothers playing the same tun just a little differently. We are getting fresh snow right now just up on the pass. I think one more run for the season might be in order!!!

More pics of Utah one ski rally

Finally got on the computer to down load pictures of the epic weekend in the sunny Utah back country. The explorer only took us an hour to unload out of suitcases and install on a CRF 450. Between the moto kit and all the 800 hawks the weekend was picture perfect.
