so any one got any miles on there new 3 inch track are they really the best thing since sliced bread I no the ones I was around last year wouldn't stay together and if I am going to get 1500 bucks in to putting the thing on it better last more than a year I no the Cat track works the stock track sucks with boost good in the trees but what a spinning thing all it does is spin juat looking for some info thanks.

I only have 30 miles on my 3" track. It grabs the hard stuff on the trail better so I think it will be better in set up snow. There just wasn't enough deep stuff to see if it will work in the powder as well as the 5.1. Hopefully it will hold together.

3" is the way to go! over 100 miles on mine so far this year and couldn't be happier, better in every aspect of riding so far i cant find anything that its not better than the stock track at. Its amazing how well it climbs back up on to the snow after a down hill turn in deeper powder. The cat track trenches pretty hard in deeper snow on boost as well, spins fast but doesn't really go anywhere... have 13 other customers that have been on the snow with their X3's and feel the same way i do, best mod for the money you can do to a sled

go 3 inch

I had 2.5 peak on my pro and switched it out for a 3 inch with 7 tooth drivers on my 14 pro. All I can say is wow. Unbelievable difference. Night and day different. Way better traction. 7 tooth is a good gear down too. Much more grunt out of the hole. Highly recommend.

156 and 162, on the 156 you basically max out your adjusters to get the tension right with the avid extroverts

Am all for the 3" track

I have 2 Pro's with Big tracks. No reliability issues with tracks at all.
One with drop and roll and other with 7 tooth extroverts .
They just work in all conditions. Mostly ride in the trees and do not have any trouble with manoeuvrability. Can often follow the stock track sleds but most of my buddies do not like following my sled as the trenches get a little DEEP in some spots.
I also like the new Cat 2.6 in most conditions (all) Great alternative to stock Series 5 . To be honest though I have no complaints with the 13 - 14 polaris tracks . Stock tracks (Poo-Cat-Doo) get everyone in our group to the same awesome riding areas and out again :)

I had a 13 pro, last year, that I put a 3 inch on with no durability issues. it was the 156 so it had to be cut down to 15. I know guys that were hooking rocks and stumps, with turbos, and never tore anything. I think they have fixed the problem unless you are just unlucky. A little extra vibration but the traction in the trees was awesome. I think the pros needed geared down but that wasn't an option last year. My wife liked her 12 better. She hated mine. I think the 3 inch makes a slight difference in how they tip up is all I could figure. The 12 is easier to tip up but didn't bother me.
On a side note I was wondering if this is gerad poxleitner? If it is I still have your old precision weld.

2.6 or 3"

I measured the WIDTH at top of paddles of new X3...... 13 5/8"
At least you can still get the 156x16 and get it cut to a TRUE 15"
