? on egt/contoller

I put a diamond intake and a SLP y pipe, pipe, can on a 07 M8. I was instructed that if my intake hole design was done so that I was pulling more warm air, I wouldn't need to make any adjustments to injectors(wouldn't need a controller box) I am super lean, super. do I have to put on a box, any advice??

I think you are money ahead with a control box. A top end will cost roughly twice what a control box would run. They are not hard to adjust\use. Probably will make more power with one once you get your numbers dialed in.

I ride out of Anchorage, 500-4100ish. Pulled plugs twice, once with new plugs. White as the snow. Lookin for advice.

I just put this setup on my sled this year also, so I too am wondering what others have their boondockers set at. I think on my boondocker I'm just going to richen it way up then, decrease the fuel based on plugs, egt, piston wash.

I have a similiar set up and my sled needs fuel on the top 7800-8100. With the intake you may need more. You should test with some carbon build on plugs and test at different RPMs.

With A BDX intake and SLP Pipe Kit this is what I ran for fuel settings in yellowstone this year. Mine seem to run real well with this setup.
