Public company's are accountable to the shareholders. The Bud board of directors attempted to spurn the first offer but if an offer is so high that it stands to increase shareholder value its hard to justify why your not accepting it. That's the short explanation.

Course I like all my beers and will still buy like I do...a case of most stuff here and there(I can't limit myself to one country). My staple beers will now 100 percent come from August Schells Brewing Co.
At least Bud got bought buy a company from a Real Beer region...not South Africa or Canada!

Actually, US knows how to brew good beer, just seems a lot of Nascar fans need to be shown what good beer should taste like.
I have tons of local beers around me to choose from, and they are really really tasty! It is just the PBR crowd doesn't like the taste until you mix them half and half with water. I hate Nascar beer! It is only good when you want to stop drinking for the night. Pop open a Coors, and it will take you so long to finish it, that you will sober up. ha ha
