Where is Gold Creek, Ive been to French Cabin or French Creek sno park a couple times, Gold Creek looks good.

I'll tell you because it does NOT rock, it used to but the trees are growing in and there is no logging up there any more, we need a BIG fire or the beatle.
There are still alot of riding areas but it's getting lame and I know EVERY INCH of that terrain up to the wilderness line.

There are 3 ways in, coming from the East I would park at Price Creek off I-90or go to the end of the road on the South/West side of Lake Kachees. Less greenies in your way and you might find parking. You can also take the Hayak exit and go to the North side of the freeway and head East on Rocky Run rd past the Hmmmm hmmmmm's (greenies) to the parking at the end. Good luck.

McCloud ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there anybody that is riding Gold Creek or maybe some other place tomorrow that wouldn't mind a tag-a-long. I have only ridden gold creek mostly and one time over at stampede, but it wasn't very good that day, alot of new snow but no base so we didn't get off the roads much. My usual riding buddy has to work and I have a itch to get out again since I had to work last weekend.
Thanks Jay

Gold Creek rocked today until we had throttle issues. Sun was out 2 feet of fresh on a nice base. All kinds of places to play.

your missing 3 other ways to the tower!!!!!

The third way is not for everyone.....Unless you like to punish people in your group....I showed Graveler this past weekend....he had a good time....The other two with us were MF'ing me the whole way.

Fordy, I heard most people do that to you whether they're riding with you or not :D  j/k

Hey, Wish me happy birthday red shirt man :D

From the Cooper side? Be careful some brainiac might actually try that. We were up Thorpe Mtn last night and wore out our shovels, unbelievably deep.

It's just a little water-x, some sidhilling and up the draw... no biggie! ;)

We had a great time Friday morning. Plenty of fresh tracks, only bummer was that the snow was pretty wet at lower elevations making for sticky goggles.

That and I buried my sled real good in a windrift.

Gold Creek on Sat was pretty good. The snow had really set up from the previous week. Had about a foot of light fluff on top. But was still able sink the rear in boondockin through the trees. Good times for Gold Creek .... still need more snow!

Agreed - we finally had some visability on Sunday at Gold Creek, snow was set up & we had a great day of riding.
But the snow needs to continue because the trees are getting too damn tall for boondocking...

The snow was setup pretty hard last Saturday, still lots of area that hadnt been ridin. We are supposed to be getting more snow this week but we will see how much it ends up being. A couple of friends and I might give it a poke on Saturday.
