High pressure systems from Idaho to New Mexico is causing ALL moisture to hit the wall of pressure go north TO WSH & CANADA then swoosh back down to Texas.

This causes the jet stream to resemble the greek letter OMEGA or an upside down horse shoe keeping H2O or of CALI :face-icon-small-sho

This pattern will last until Thanksgiving or longer :help:

It will be dry hot and windy with only ONE MAJOR "good" SIDE EFFECT

The NINO ocean warming is accelerating creating more moisture to get into the atmosphere from the ocean and dump somewhere ... preferable on land as snow ! :face-icon-small-ton

Lets get that horseshoe flipped around and fill it with H2O :welcome:

So does the Omega model benefit Montana? Where is the downslope?

The jet stream oscillates based on its speed / high and low pressure systems / moisture etc.

Right now the H2O is in WA well into Canada then back down into ID , MT , ND etc.

IMHO I think we are better off with low pressure systems dragging the jet stream down as far south as possible

Really nice storms occur when the major low pressure systems are in SOCAL and Nevada

Let it grab the moisture from the warmer seas and send it into a cold front.

The oscillation will eventually throw the H2O up north instead of straight across the continent

The problem with the jet stream "turning" over the ocean IS it dumps the H2O prior to reaching land.

No worries Season snow starts in DEC!, one thing here in a single week it typically goes from dirt to 10 feet powder!

Couple small storms ... under an inch of H2O predicted in state Thursday 13 Nov to Tuesday 18 Nov with up to 50% likelihood predicted

Aledged larger storm being predicted 10-14 days out .... just like the computer models did in years past (and more than not the storms did not materialize)
