old trucks pulling snowmobiles

anyone have any pics of old trucks pulling sleds. any flat beds or buses? just about anything goes...

lifted 78 chevy with a flatbed for the winter for the two sleds.

I think it is the funniest thing when you see these old worn out rusted trucks with brand new $12,000 sled in the back of them...makes me laugh everytime

Worst part of towing with an old truck. Cramming 5 people into a standard cab pulling a 4 place with one in the box.

Oh yeah the worst part... Someone always has to fart !

Way to many lunar green cloud memories there.

Oldest I remember was a '62 chevy 4 door (Air Force base truck) that my high school buddy put on a '76 chevy 4x4 chassis. I swapped him a short box fleet side bed to put on it. He painted it red and black with a yellow seperation stripe running through it, yellow ladder bars to the rear end and 33's on it.

We have pulled sleds with :
64 chev
66 international
72 blazer
74 dodge shortbox
77 dodge club cab

^ in the '80's

back when I was a cub, I would pull my John Deere snowmobile on 50 mile trips with a '73 Honda Civic 1200, single place trailer behind it, to our farm

That reminds me, when my 66 shortbox stepside was in primer I hauled a new 1996 Ext Mtn Cat EFI home in it. It was just clipped with a '73 Firebird stub and the tilt front was not done yet. The whole front end was held down with tarp straps. It looked like junk, but I just had to break in the 455 pontiac (400 block, 455 crank, 60 over) we had dropped in it.

Where have all the good times gone ?

How old is old? I pull with a '98 F-150 with 160,000 on her. Gutless, but I can afford 8mpg with no payment Best thing I saw was in the Snowies 2 years ago when a guy pulled in next to me with a late '80's, rusted out full size van with his electrical company logo on the side. He pulled in, opened the door and backed out a brand new sled and took off with his buddies. That night, I heard a generator running, and he was camped out in it!! Don't matter how we do it, just so long as we find a way to ride

don't have a pic handy, but my sled rig is an 86 toyota 4x4 reg cab with an aluminum flatdeck and 33's... I can get to the snow even in July
