Ok...i must be crazy:)

uh oh!!

And here I thought I was probably the only person in the world who did that

enis750 gave me an idea.
I'm on strike at work so I've got LOTS of time on my hands.
Time to get out the mag polish and powerwheel !!!
I'll bet I can polish every peice of aluminum and detail the crap out of my sled before I get back to work !

ha ha ha!
now your gonna think im crazy....
i did this by hand w 00 super fine steel wool
no polish, no powerwheel...over 2 hours of straight elbow grease and sweat!!
god im a terd!!! :D

Um....I was planning on doing this possibly this weekend just to see what it would be like up on the hill this winter...so I can get all the bugs worked out of the system:D:D

Just wish it would get cold so I can see what type of heater I need to put in...on that note...anyone got any suggestions for my next project...WHAT HEATER TO USE IN AN ENCLOSED????

VERY glad to see there are others out there!

crazy would be sleeping in the trailer to be with your sleds...so your way far on the safe side

ur good dude..i would have done the same
we need snow...like yesterday...
i had no intentions of polishing my tunnel....
i started w the clutch cover ...well the rest is history.......see below:

I have been wandering what to do today, I think it is time to break out the mothers and polished the pipe earlier this summer I think I will go to town on anything else under the hood I think I can make nice and shiny.

I sit on my sled all of the time. My wife also says I need help:D

This question will start a debate
I use a Blue Flame 30,000 BTU fanless wall mounted heater.
Many here will tell you the only proper way to go is an atwood or suburban forced air set up.
They are very nice but relatively expensive.
They are also seen by many as the only safe way to heat your trailer since they only burn outside air and exhaust outside too.

I don't want to run a bank of batteries and carry a generator to keep them charged so I went with one that doesn't require any power.
If my battery goes dead overnight then I still have heat but I'd lose my lights.
It will cook you right out of the trailer but I have to keep the vents cracked a little and I'm going to install a small window near the area that the bed will sit that I can crack open to get a little more fresh air.

Use whatever you feel comfortable with.

I bought my heater from a place in So Carolina on E-Bay for $125 brand new.
The expensive part was the tanks, hoses and tank mount but I fabbed the mount myself and save a ton of money there too.
I mounted the twin tanks on the opposite side from the ramp up front and covered them with a plastic cover from an RV supply store just for looks and to keep the hi-way sand and slush off them.

This is funny took some clothes out to the storage unit last weekend and started the sled so I could get some MAN COLOGNE put on them, now I walk around school smelling like 2 stroke. Your perfectly normal. WE NEED SNOW

Did you put Thompson's water seal down on your trailer decking?

BTW, you KNOW you have a problem if you start polishing your helmet.

haha, flat finish on mine, so no polish...

Does polishing goggle lenses count?

How about hand washing the cover, did that twice...

Been real bad for me, what if summer is so long that you buy more sleds cause you just debate having one??? Bought a xp yesterday....

i am so desperate to do anything that has to do with sleds that i gutted our enclosed trailer and re rhino lined it!!! i have even polished my buddys tunnels on their sleds! :p;):D:o:beer;:beer;:):face-icon-small-win

I used a good gray primer and mixed in some fine sand. makes for a nice floor to walk on. The Rino liner was a little too much for me. I wish I could do that though.

No, nothing on my floor as of now...exept lots and lots of ski guide:)

Should I have put something on the floor to help wisk away the water???

i hate that i dont have my sled right now, i will be getting my dirtbike brought down to college in two weeks, so i can get that two stroke smellgoing on every now and then, not nearly as fast and fun, but two stoke time wasting all the same!!!

I have my buddy that stores his sled in my shop and lives 50 miles away call me last summer and asked real seriously if I had a mason jar, which I did, told me to go out to the sled trailer and start his sled up and "catch" some smoke in the jar and bring it to him... the bad thing was that I almost did.

All i gotta say to that is...wow!!!!!!!:d
