Oil reservoir? Just get rid of it and do premix. Saves weight runs better, better lube. Just my .02

My tank is slightly cracked at the base of the neck as well. Will this insert stop that leak too?

sleeve goes down into tank 5/8inch .. you may have to epoxy the crack closed from the outside .. rough up the surface and use a good resin ..

Insert

On the 2008 and newer models if your machine was like mine even after the dealer replaced the tank it was still fawked. Had to use the insert (and cap) from an 2005 and that finally stopped the leak. Tried the insert for the 2008 first and it did not work.
