oil pump spring WTB

does anyone have an oil pump spring? or does anyone know where to get the spring without buying a new oil pump? my pump is fine but the spring is toast. Thanks guys

After checking both the factory Polaris Microfiche and the Babbits one as well, neither of them list the spring individually, just the pump assembly and many other parts on the cross shaft. Have you tried asking your dealer to see if they can get you the spring individually?

I wonder if anyone else has had this specific need and figured out a distributor.

Maybe take the spring out and try to match it up with something a hardware store or fastenal or something....just make sure the spring load is were it should be at you dont want the pump to be stuck open or especially closed!!

That kind of sucks. I ran into this on an older poo with a broken loop (where it attaches to the arm/lever) and was able to fab the original just bending a new loop (very, very carefully). I'm sure someone will have an idea, I just can't seem to come up with one right now.

ya, i checked pure polaris and babbitts too, im not buying a new pump for a cheap azz spring, my local hardware store didnt have anything but they have a very limited selection. not even mountainhorse had anything so its a tricky situation

Is the oil pump manufactored by somebody else than polaris?? Maybe see if you can call them and get something...

the oil pump is made by mikuni i have their contact number just havent been able to make the call yet i will keep you guys posted

If you are having a problem with it not returning get yourself a exhaust spring and put on the cable. I had my second 900rmk sticking all the time so i put that on there and the fixed the problem

I use a spring off a 4 barrell carb and a tie wrap to the frame,its been there since 05.
