Oil puddle in intercooler??

:eek:Just blew the dust of her from the summer and pulled the intercooler to have some updates done, and when I pulled the charge tube off I noticed a small amount of oil in the bottom of the cooler. This is a PL turbo kit, there doesn't seem to be any evidence of oil comming from the charge tube but also it has not ran for months. Where is it from Any ideas??

Some oil does slip past the seals in the turbo into the charge tube. You can restrict the oil feed to the turbo if it hasn't been done yet. I clamped a 50mm mikuni jet in my oil feed line. These motors have over 60psi of oil pressure and these turbos are only set up for 30psi.

Yup, what he said ^^^^^. You should see our intercoolers after we roll 20 or 30 or sometimes more times and then the sled lays upside down or on it's side for a while. Just wipe it out and your good to go.Of course check your oil everyday before you ride, but should be fine.

As stated above, usually no problem. Clean it out first so you dont have to suck it through. It is alarming to have your sled smoke while it chews up the oil, but usually no problem.
