Oil leak??

Hi
This weekend I blew the belt on my -11 PRMK, and as I opened the side panel I noticed that the belt and the clutches where covered in oil that apparently came from the oil tank lid.
A friend of mine said he had the same problem if he fills too much oil on the tank.
I filled the tank up leaving 2-2.5inc of room to the lid before I headed out that day, and IMO this should be sufficient room to let the lid breathe and let out air from the tank(?)
Have any other PRO riders experienced this problem?

Sounds like you left plenty of room for expansion, a loose or misthreaded cap is probably the culprit.

I showed this tread to my dealer, and him again to the importer. And the answer I got...?
"Yes we have experienced some having problems with the oil cap and will therefor warrant your cap and the blown belt":first:
Top service I must say

That's great.

BUT.... The next neck will do it also. After they warranty the oil tank, put an insert in it and never have to worry about it again.

I am in no way affiliated with the producer of the inserts, just a satisfied customer.

we ordered those oil rings for the neck also and put in all of our pros and not one has leaked all winter, for $20 you cant go wrong. They are a nice product and easy to install.
