To clarify your statement, the reason some customers are receiving their machines with the oil pumps anywhere up 3.5 turns "out of adjustment" on the low side is because Polaris is attempting to meet emissions regulations???
If that we're the case I wouldn't think they'd even bother installing calibration markings on the oil pump assembly at all..............
It would stand to reason that all of their oil pumps are manufactured to deliver the same amount of oil throughout the entire span of control arm movement, give or take an insignificant amount, and the alignment marks are their calibration for this particular application producing emissions within required EPA regulations.............
I wouldn't expect that Polaris would test the emissions on each & every machine & adjust every oil pump to achieve a desired result............or do they???
Thoughts???

The oil pumps were engineered long before recent EPA regs went into effect. The oil pumps are NOT specifically designed for the Pro; they're the same ones that Poo has been using for years! Poo is willing to take the gamble, with their lean factory settings, that the motor will last long enough to make it past the warranty period because passing EPA emissions is more critical.
Have FUN!
