Oil delete

I would be very careful to check that often if you have ANY question about it.

If that hose were to fall off, you'd lose your motor VERY quick imo, as any lube in that center section would drain right out. It would scare the he!! out of me if I thought there was any chance of that happening on my sled.

I'm glad the 13 is easier to get to, it's so much easier to just toss the zerk right in that hole.

Would probably lean the motor out too.

BCIL How hot do you think it gets under there where the hose is at? I was kinda thinking that i might toss a zip tie on there just as double assurance????

Just for info, if anybody is considering the delete, check the bottom banjo for filings before you reinstall. I had lots of brass filings in the ID, maybe 10 or 20 small pieces I blew out with air. Looked like they belonged to the banjo itself or came from the pump?

Does anyone know what the zerk size & thread pattern is on a 2011 m8? Going to be doing the delete this weekend and want to get the zerk in advance if possible

I jus put a small hose on the banjo fitting that was already there. It was a lil big so I tightened the **** outta the hose clamp. Put grease in fine, but wondering how much pressure is pushing out on that banjo line when she's running? Shouldn't blow the line off.

im doing mine per bdx instructions.called them twice for reasurence.ill be posting if she squeeks

With the new instructions telling people to put oil in the cavity at install, I'm sure that's going to be fine. Some folks want more re-assurance, and having the ability to add grease down the road gives that to them.

Thats it. So sick of trying to get the lines off the intake boots that I'm just cutting them back and plugging them. Must be my big hands or incompetence, or both.

I doubt its much, cause the lines that were on there where not very hard to get off so i dont think there is much pressure!

Its tough with big hands, i musta just got lucky when i did mine cause that part was a snap!

zerk

Does anyone know what size zerk is needed for a 13? I am getting ready to do this and want to make sure I have everything right before I start. Thanks!

You don't drill a hole, it's going in an existing hole that the banjo fitting was in.

It's a 6mm zerk... that's what I asked my parts guy for the last 2 times anyhow, and what he gave me worked.
