Ohlin front Shocks?

Anyone try these? Any good? worth the money? Looking for opinions is all. If they are not all they are crapped up to be I think ill just suffice with a set of GYTR shocks from yamaha  But people seem to really like Ohlins shocks, so looking for more imput. thanks

I have a buddy who says "they are worth every penny" he ride's a nytro with a rear mount mc-xpress, CR-162x16x2.5 and a set of wide flexi. I my self am very happy with my Fox Floats and will be running wide flexi this coming winter.

get off your wallet and just buy one of every kind of front shock for your sled so you can give us some feedback would ya??lol I didn't think the stockers would be too bad on the nytro, but thinking I"m going to change them out this year. pick up the ohlins and let us know how they work. anybody have costs on the ohlins, fox revo's and some of the other upper end stuff??

I got a set of ohlins for my nytro this summer. I will let you know how they work. I know Climbmax (Randy) had a set for sale for 1000.00. PM him if you are looking for some. I think they are around 1400.00 new.

I was told by a yamy rep that yamaha ownes ohlin and the GYTR is made by ohlin so I wunder what the diferance is anyone know?

ive heard alot of people say they are the best, but have yet to actually see a set on a sled  Are they worth the $1300? not a float fan, they dont rebound very well.

have planned on running the GYT shocks from yamaha, but curious as to what the big hoot is

talked to freeagent and she said NO to gyt's. run evo's or ohlins was the words from her mouth. I'm gonna be poor from knowing her.lol

As I've read through these threads about shocks I see that ohlins doesnt have a excact replacement that is 15.5 inches. So any shock you at, either gytr's or the ohlins you are going to raise you center of gravity/ sled. Is that a big deal on the apex?? I was going to try to find a set of gytr's. I also dont think a guy can get tripple rate spring set up on there either, the shock is just too short. Is the body of the gytr's the same length? Is the actual shaft movement the same as on the stockers, or is the body just longer, or both??

Hey Nate,

Before u go blow all that money on those Ohlins, Why don't u give ZBROZ a shot. We build shocks for the Nytro, triple rate comp adj for 1050.00 and we will stand behind them revalve respring whatever it takes. Give us a call.

I'll second rope10 on the zbroz stuff. You won't find a better product or support anywhere. We've had nothing but happy customers after a zbroz upgrade!

Do you finally have some made for the Nytro. Waited all season for Zbroz to build shocks for the Nytro, finally quit wanting to wait and bought ohlins.

I second that.... I was ready last January...bought floats instead:rolleyes:

Zbroz guys, you doing anything about the ball joint and spindle situation yet?

I've been told that they are going to build a complete front end to correct ALL the issues...bushing and ball joint durability, spindle geometry, and upper arm geometry.
hopefully soon, we've got people waiting!
here's one of the proto front ends, just finished installing one of our M-10's to go with that front cush!

PM sent! You have my business! In the same boat as Ruffy, didnt know you guys made them for the Nytro, I need some for a Vector! Would much rather run the Zbroz than the Ohlins anyways :)

ftx, when will the nytro a arms be available, and how much? what are the specs, lighter, stronger, come with better ball joints? spill it man! LOL! ski

As I posted in another thread, ski-doo Rev 440 shocks are a perfect match, you just have to shorten them 3/4" which any shop can do. They fit snug in the subframe and even use the exact same bolts. They are rebound and compression adjustable and can be found for around $500-600. Hard to beat them for the price.
