A 26-year-old man from Ohio died Friday in a snowmobile rollover crash near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, deputies said.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said it learned of the crash just south of Rabbit Ears Peak at around 11 a.m. Friday. According to the sheriff's office, the snowmobiler — a 26-year-old man from Bowling Green, Ohio — was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff's office said it appeared the man was fatally injured after the snowmobile flipped backward while he went up a steep incline of the summit, causing him to get stuck under the snowmobile.
No further information was shared about the victim
Never want to hear about that .... My condolences to his friends and family.
That hits pretty close to home so to speak .... we were literally riding that same area around the time that happened. I never saw an amublance or anything in the lot or coming up the highway or anything ..... RIP fellow sledder
