OFFICAL 2017 Polaris Reveal, Photos and Specs

I can't believe you can't get a 163x2.6 in an LE....and the in season model would have a raw tunnel. Why would you snowcheck one with a raw tunnel over picking up a 16???

Isn't that crazy.
you gotta wonder WHY?

Because not everyone WANTS a tether......
Its not complicated..........

If they put one on they would have to raise the price to make the same (slim) profit.

If someone doesn't want one they probably wouldn't use it anyways.

Then it becomes one more thing to have issues or get in the way.

I have one on my sled...
BUT.........If I didn't want it I would never have to worry about it!
If it was there (unused) and i didn't want it, then it caught a branch as i busted through a creek and stalled me in the bottom I would probably be pissed.

Realizing that its ok if polaris makes more money and uses it to develop new things is part of capitalism 101.
I accept that poo doesn't put one on because it saves them bucks. Hooray for them!!!!

Mcdonalds saves hundreds of thousands of dollars by not giving out as many knapkins and ketchup packets. Good on em! Its a free market and it self adjusts.

the LE is just like the Terrain Dominators were a few years ago where they come with special graphics and extreme bumpers and accessory bags standard, you can still snowcheck a 163x2.6 with powdercoated tunnel just like last year, it's just not designated "LE"

edit: looks like the LE also comes with the PIDD gauge standard as well, a $700 accessory to add to the other snowchecks, plus $300 bumpers and $300 in bags, plus $400 shocks. you're saving a little money going LE if you want all of those options, it's $800 more to go LE over regular Snowcheck on the 163"x3" ($14199 vs $14999) so you save approximately $900

Dissapointing... Was really hoping for a 144x2.6 SKS or RMK 800- identical but with a shorter tunnel and track AND under 400lbs dry. NOT a beefed up trail sled with a long track :face-icon-small-fro

Ski-doo lists the 2017 174" at 467 dry.
Polaris has their 174" at 442..... 25 pounds is significant.
I'm surprised Ski-doo left that much on the table.

I can't even get on the website to see what the new offerings look like. What a bunch of BS. Very annoying Polaris! They should get their S#*! together better than this. It is very amateurish for a large company. I am going to bed. Screw this!

I'm with you. Who the hell is in charge over there? Their media packet was a joke compared to Ski-Doo's

2017 174 doo is not their new sled. Either way, Polaris is light for that much track.

Well, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. No 144 SKS. That's a real bummer. And no tether is just BS. Other than that a nice lineup, just a little less than I was hoping for. I see now why Christopher is sno checking a Rev Gen 4.
