Octane

I live in Northeast Saskatchewan. Going to ride a Powderlites rear mount turbo Apex. I can get 91 octane at most of the places I ride. The odd time we will ride where you can not get 91 only 87 and an extra 12 litres of premium on the back may not be enough. I do not want to have try and shut the boost off to get home. Question is this: What would your octane be if you took 12 litres of 100 AV gas and mixed with 12 litres of 87 regular. If you average the two the octane is 93.5. Something tells me it is not a linear average? Does anybody have this info? Is there a chart one can access? Thanks.

Ever think about a meth injection system for backup when you can't be confident in your fuel? You have to wonder if some of those small town premium pumps are really premium. The concentrate octane boost Torco makes is supposed to actually work. You could pack cans of it.

Torco Accelerator does work. I've used it for two years now. 1 quart to 5 gal. of 91 octane will give you 105 and it's held up to 20# boost.

10-4

"Nytro style" right behind the fuel tank?

Yup. WNR is a friend and kinda shy intraverted guy. He won't say too much but will likely post some pics of the progress as soon as they show up on his e-mail. Sounds like very few alterations to the stock Apex configuration though.
