I guess some, probably those not familiar with the military and chain of command, just don't understand how these things work.

No, Obama did not physically hunt down Osama. But his policy and administration is who made it happen. Without his authorization the CIA would have never been given the tools or the okay to hunt down Osama.

Its funny. Not a single news program I have watched regarding this has giving him any credit towards this what so ever. I never was a Huge George W fan but I will admit that its because of HIM that this was accomplished... That and the end of Saddam. He might not have always been the smartest guy, but you do have to give him some credit for something. Thats more than you can say for Obama.

Did you just quote Bush from 2002? He was president through 2008. I'm sure at the time that was not his highest priority. If you are suggesting that Bush had nothing to do with this you are VERY wrong!

jeez you guys are divided and only seem to see in black and white. The president always has something to do with what the military does, he is the commander. Being a commander they are at the top of the command structure and are responsible (no matter how little) for what the military does (whether it is good or bad). Does the president get full credit, heck no. There are many many people on the way down the command structure till you get to soldiers. All of them had a hand in this.

This "he didn't have anything to do with it" "he did it all" crap is disappointing.
