SOOO GOOOD. I read them both each in a day. 3 days ago and 2 days ago lol. I'd read the 3rd but my girlfriend hasn't finished it yet >.<

I finished Mockingjay on Sunday. So that means I read the trilogy from Friday May 4th to Sunday May 13th. LOL. I've never read 1150 pages so quickly.

Mockingjay is slower to get going...but once it does there are some suprises.

I guess the thought is that if people are trying to fight for it, it probably means more to them then the rest of us...

As to finding churches that allow it... getting a marriage certificate is a state form. All it takes is a signature from a judge and 100 bucks or so. It is just paperwork, state paperwork though. Churches don't have to be involved at all.

Looks like it is another state vs. federal level issue.

Marriages are given by the state, but they have federal implications.
Civil unions are given by the state, but have NO federal implications.

There is a pretty big difference it seems.

Kreg expressed my exact thoughts on this issue. The gov't should have zero interference on this issue. Especially when the Right use arguments like:

But yet the Right want to add an Amendement to the Constitution. North Carolina anybody??



The only reason Jomama has flip-flopped on this issue is for votes. The Left isn't nearly as fired up and thrilled for him as they were in 08 and he is simply playing politics to try and rev up the Left base.

Yes The 1st ammendment to the constitution guarantees the freedom "of" religion not freedom "from" religion.
Congress shall make no law in respect to or prohibiting the free practice thereof any religion.
The moral majority should have more say so than an ignorant minority.

Exactly.... Religious. So why does the STATE regulate it? The government should not be regulating any marriage, straight or gay.

I call bovine excrete on that. Its part of our desensitized culture that think its perfectly normal from the garbage they read, watch on TV and the movies they watch. I wasn't long ago that very few people were gay, but with the changing culture its more prevelent. The whole thing irritates me in the sense that they push it all off onto our childeren to think its the way to be..

Careful with that... It should read "It wasn't long ago what people knew of only a few people that were gay"... I would imagine that most people hid the fact. Wouldn't you?
