Do you folks think that his message is going to filter down to the streets in Pakistan, Isreal, Lebanon etc to the poverish people that Hamas et al recruit from?

hell no, the leader of Hamas, Al Quaida etc love this kind of recognition. They'll spin it as the leader of Omerica begging for them to stop their jihad.

Isreal should be very scared, he's paving the way for them to loose their way of life as they know it. He's making sanctions on their behalf, all Iseral needs to do now is push harder now. Isreal KNOWS that Obama isn't going to lead Omerica into a war with them, they can do any bloody thing they want to do now...the hard nose Bush is OUT.

The hurting ecomony in the middle east plays to the terrorists favor, its easier to recruit a hurting people and send them to martyerdom..specially if ones family is 'looked after' once they are gone.

I was hoping Obama understood the enemy, perhaps he does but in his arrogance he is playing the masiah card. He certinatly IS NOT Islams masiah.

Now some people are very clever , they tell forget past , just remove forces from gaza . If somebody takes three rooms of your house, can you tell just remove forces from last room . And whoever buys isreal products or do business with isreal , then they are eating the dead bodies of 300+ kids brutally killed by isreal . The only thing the United States did to bring about the 911 was leave troops in Saudi Arabia / Kuwait, with their permission. Osama said he would fight until the infidels were driven from all Muslim lands. The support of Israel is another minor reason. And, his hatred of our immortal beliefs.

The hardline Muslims will not be swayed by Obama.

The moderate Muslim, feels much better about the US, since Obama was elected. But, how long with this last. (Remember they hate each other as much as they hate us) Obama had better be careful though, any show of weakness, will not bring respect. We shall see how Obama does. There's a chance he could really open things up between us and them. But, without fixing their social structure, and economic woes of the lower classes, the average Muslim is just getting by, day by day. Something tells me, this might just delay the inevitable.

He's gonna have to do some fancy foot work, to get the Israel mess straightened out. Because, as long as Israel is defending itself, there will be no peace. Unless we turn against Israel. Not to mention, Iran's leader Ineedajob, probably is more concentrated on Israel, than the US. We're just seen as the supporters of Israel.
