I sure wish Bo would would come in to Jackson Hole. There are plenty of libs
there of course but i garantee he will get that unwanted feeling. I am a rabbel rouser extrordinaire, just ask the Wy. State Trails guys, they will be glad to tell you. Spent the night in the hoosegow over there before. I think Bo is just looking for an excuse to declare martial law.

he's coming to Grand Junction, too...........weird being we are the most conservative county in Colo. Today there was a demon-stration at the court house.

12 obomabots vs 400 true-blooded Americans!!...and this was actually reported on the GJSentinel.com.......way cool. I'm sure they are busy busing in Libs from 4 states to create a perfect illusion for the media!
I also have seen the "joker" posters showing up around town...mmmm....looks like people are finally fed up and speaking up!! rant over.

Just heard that tickets to Obama's town hall meeting will be offered on a first come, first served basis at the Bozeman and Belgrade City Hall buildings starting at 9am Thursday, August 13th.

Montana Protesters Rally Against Obama Town Hall

Wednesday, August 12, 2009 5:40 PM

HELENA, Mont. -- Protesters plan to turn out in force when President Barack Obama brings his health care town hall tour to Montana on Friday and puts a conservative suburb of Bozeman at the center of the issue for a day.

Organizers expect as many as 500 people at a rally outside the Gallatin Field Airport hangar in Belgrade where Obama will hold the event.

Patients First said the protest is intended to show leaders the public is not happy with the expensive reform proposals. The group is affiliated with the Americans for Prosperity activists who came together during the "Tea Party" anti-big-government protests.

Obama was expected to focus on a provision of the reform plan that would prevent insurance companies from dropping or limiting insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.

U.S. Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., is a key figure in the issue, as he tries to draft a bipartisan plan. Protesters want to get his attention.

"Montana has become ground zero in the national health care debate," said Jake Eaton of Patients First. "It will be important to see Montanans come out in force to say no to government health care."

Advocates for a government-run health care system are hoping to get inside the hangar to ask Obama questions. Some may have a vocal presence outside the aircraft hangar, said Gene Fenderson of the group Montanans for Single Payer.

"We are encouraging people to attend the president's forum and hopefully have a chance to ask questions," he said.

Observers said they would be surprised if protesters created big problems.

"Even though we are Montana, and pretty conservative, I would be surprised if there were a huge scene in Belgrade in opposition to the president," said Craig Wilson, a political scientist at Montana State University-Billings. "Any time a president comes to Montana, it's a big deal."

Other groups with a stake in the issue are using the president's visit to advance their cause without protests.

Service Employees International Union plans to bring in national figures this week to support its campaign in favor of a government health care option.

And a group of doctors called the Coalition to Protect Patient Rights was holding an event each day before the president's visit. It opposes the government option.

Obama showered Montana with unprecedented attention during the election last year but fell short of becoming the first Democratic presidential candidate since Bill Clinton in 1992 to carry the state.

The president chose to hold his town hall in Belgrade, a conservative suburb of Bozeman in a county he barely carried, instead of playing it safe by visiting a Democratic stronghold like Butte.

Does the building he will be in have a lot of windows? Is their an elevated grassy knoll somewhere not too far away with a clear line of sight?
there is the most AMAZING grassy knowl in town!! it overlooks the whole city and is within easy distance of most important buildings.

So, is Obama trying to show he's brave, or trying to provoke something?

He is far from brave. He's a coward. All the conservatives will be stuck outside and they will bring in their own liberals to be the audience for the speach. Then he will talk big and say anybody who is in oppostition please take the mike. Nobody will take the mike because they are all liberals in there, and he will make it look like he has control of Montanians...:mad:

What concerns me is after he visits Yellowstone Park, it wouldn't be out of character for him to make some presidential order to close the park in winter, or clamp down on access even more.

I'm sure he will have the 'ear' of the enviro's.

I'm glad I took the GF on the guided tour of the park last season. Turned out OK, our guide was excellent, and had a lot of factual info about the thermals.

Yes Wiz, I wouldn't put it past him to pander to the tree huggers every chance he gets. We went trough the Park in 2002 on our own sleds, unguided and it was wonderful to be able to stop when you wanted at your own leisure. The West Yellowstone guides then had about 25 people and it was like herding a bunch of cats. We were sure glad we weren't with with them. We are glad we did it when we did, Wolf.

I booked our tour thru Tog Lodge, and only a total of 4 sleds, incl the guide. Yamaha Venture 2-up 4 strokes. Never ridden anything that darted as bad as those damned things. All 4 machines in our group handled the same.

The guide says don't fight the steering, just keep it on the road and let it wander. That worked for the 110 miles we logged that day. ( based out of Flag Ranch)

Now I don't have a problem with Yammi's in general, my ATV is a 700 Grizz, but those sleds were awful.......but the tour was fine, aside from the cost of course.

I've ridden the park myself in '94, '00, '01, but now days my '05 T660-Turbo 4-stroke is not permitted in the park. Go figure.

I digress............:o

Things that make you go HMMMMMM. Just got this email from a friend in Bozeman.

"Guess what? You'll be soooo shocked [she's being sarcastic]. There were 600 tickets for Obama's speech to be given out at both the Bzn [Bozeman] and Belgrade city halls at 9am this morn. People lined up and waited for hours. At nine they were told the the White House had given away most of the tickets earlier and there were only 150 left. Staged? NOOOOO way! So, are you shocked? I didn't think so.

And a person who works for UPS called in to the radio station this morn to say that they have thousands and thousands of dollars worth of Lobsters being flown in for them to deliver to Obama in Big Sky.

Yeah, cause he can't get all he wants right on the east coast where they come from and cheaper too. I have to tell you, I am a little afraid of tomorrow. I think there is going to be trouble. "They" are bringing in pro health care folks from all around the state (I've seen the Dem emails organizing it). We have to demonstrate a ways away from the hanger where he'll be speaking, in the same place they are gathering. All of our people that I know are responsible and respectful but it will only take one kook to either start something or take the bait if they start something for there to be a brewhaha and that's just what the media and the left would LOVE.

Wish me well, send good energy and I'll let you know how it goes."

LOL, unfortunately I'm four hours away and have to work, but my friend who sent the email will be there!

I hope MPS is gonna be there because can handle the SEIU and ACORN plants. Maybe he'll make it onto Fox News :D

Maybe MTm7, Cajun, BigHoe, bobback, Spud, Spur, Scott and some others will be able to go too!
