haven't read everyones posts or the article fully yet, but....
If we are driving less, thus cutting back gas tax revenue for roads, why would we need to raise the tax?
The gas tax supposed to be used for repairing roads that are driven on and worn out...if you drive more the road needs repairs faster, but the tax revenue goes up with need...so if we are driving less, theoritically the roads will not be in need of repair as soon, thus when the roads are in need, the tax revenue will be there.
Sounds to me like the gov and Big Labor are just looking for more easy money to take from me.
