Only 3 1/2 more years of patience required until BO is voted out on his ear.

It's unclear whether this will work, because polls show mounting anxiety about Obama's policies. These include his $787 billion stimulus package, which has not had a huge impact so far, and, more broadly, the vast spending that has pushed the federal deficit to the unprecedented level of more than $1 trillion this year.

What seems most unsettling to voters is that unemployment keeps going up. It is now at 9.5 percent, the highest in more than 25 years, and the rate is expected to climb to 10 or 11 percent in the next few months. Obama advisers had predicted that his stimulus package would hold unemployment at or below 8 percent.

As his numbers drop, it will be harder and harder for him to get even his own party to go along with him. Health care is dead as a door nail. He and the DNC leaders will continue to push it, but I think it is dead. Don't worry, they will blame the RNC.

The DNC is scared about the upcoming 2010 elections. It is expected that unless things turn around and turn around FAST, the republicans will take the senate and take out the DNC super majority in the house.

Wow....60 percent said the stimulus has made no impact and 15 percent say it has made it worse. That is 75 percent saying it has not made any impact or made it worse. That is great....there is not as many dumb people as I thought!

I dont know why unemployment is so high. I have had help wanted ads online, and ive hardly gotten any decent applications. There are businesses all around me hiring. I know most of these jobs arent the highest paying or most galmorous, but it is a job. I bet if we got rid of unemployment checks and welfare, more people would get jobs. Why should someone work for $10.00 an hour when they can make the same, if not more, collecting unemployment. I just dont see why some people dont have a job when the are so many places hiring.

I am a hard worker and have been for years. I run a business and have had people collect unemployment for years after cussing me out and quiting in the middle of a shift. I bust my *** working for years to pay for her unemployment while she claims there are no jobs. BS. She also gets food stamps, and college loans. Then she has the nerve to call me tonight and ask for a deal on her order. I smashed her food, hopefully she will get the message

Of course this would be so much easier if we didn't have illegals sucking up a ton of jobs. Instead of the employer paying an illegal $6 - 8 an hour he pays a US citizen, then the US govt. supplements that wage, INSTEAD of the govt. paying people a full wage NOT to work they can pay part of the wage and get them TO work. Thereby getting them on the tax roles, thereby lowering unemployment, reducing govt. expenditures on welfare and foodstamps. Hmmmm is that what's referred to as a Win - Win scenario?

And then there are people like me that have owned business' for many years that have just simply given up on finding competant employees. we made the decision to no loger employ anyone I could do 10X the business if I could just find good people. The simply dont exsist anymore ! The local colleges and VO-tech schools have yet to produce a single grad that lasted in my 20 + years in business. The few people that do come through the door expect to make more than I do with less experience and none of the investment.

Its too bad most US citizens dont want to work for minumum wage. We need the illegals to replace all the lazy Americans who are too good to work low paying jobs. Cant blame it on the illegals, there are plenty of jobs here for everyone.

Instead of the employer paying an illegal $6 - 8 an hour he pays a US citizen, then the US govt. supplements that wage, INSTEAD of the govt. paying people a full wage NOT to work they can pay part of the wage and get them TO work. Thereby getting them on the tax roles, thereby lowering unemployment, reducing govt. expenditures on welfare and foodstamps. Hmmmm is that what's referred to as a Win - Win scenario?

Once again I would rather tax dollars supplement a wage for a citizen than having cash under the table for an illegal or paying welfare to someone to NOT work. AND it's not that Americans are too lazy but they can get paid more to sit on their arses with welfare and foodstamps.
