So...today your american government rejected the construction of the keystone pipeline in your country.

I am curious to see how many of you realize how many jobs he just crushed for your economy...and a few up here....were talking thousands....10s of thousands...seriously.

Are any of you familiar with the Canadian Oilsands......or just know about the ducks....

I do not see a strong future in job creation in your country with your current government.....

Unreal.....your government will by oil from countries that support child labor and ship it across huge bodies of water...but will not approve a pipeline to put 10s of thousands of people to work and have it from a politcally stable govenment.....

Yep I was shocked when I heard this to he just signed his way out of the white house. There are even people in his party that are siding against him on this pipeline we have to wake up in this country get back to making blue collar jobs.

I am a pipeliner, so this effects me in a big way. What is funny here is that last yr. he was for it, along with Mrs. Clinton. He was playing politics for the whole unemployment, and jobs thing. Now here he is rejecting the project. That is by no means a small job. OH its an election yr. thats right!! So the greenies that don't want this project to happen, will give him money, for reelection. This D I C K is playing both sides of the fence.

The Keystone project will bring 10's of thousands of jobs to the U.S. some short term some long term. I was on the first Keystone loop it lasted for 2 1/2 yr. just for the construction part of it.
For a project of this size to take place, it takes many yrs of pre work, and post work. So if you look at it as a person that does this for a living. You are losing out on about 5 to 6 yrs of work. Now don't get the wrong idea, this is not the only project of its kind that is in the works. All of these people won't really be out of a job. There will just be one less big project to employ these people. Which makes more people compete for the big projects in the U.S.

I have mixed feelings about getting oil from Canada, on one hand it supplies jobs, we make money and lots of it, and I have a great life that is very stable. On the other hand, we do not need to get oil from Canada, because there is more oil in the lower 48 than we can ever use, if you figure in technology. As far as our oil dependency is concerned we are working towards using less and less every decade.

Also there is the Big oil companies that grease pockets in the white house. Which in turn probably don't want this extra oil coming in to the U.S. at a lower cost than they can get it from over seas. They would rather get it over there for pennies, and charge you your arm and part of your leg. I would have to believe that they are playing a roll in it also.

I will bet my bottom dollar its has nothing do with anything, unless it is money. Yes thats right it is all money driven!! Because that A S S in the white house has no clue. He is a puppet, nothing more.

It may go through if Obama is in for another 4 years (ouch), but he is in with greenies first and foremost and is not something he would be on board with short of enormous pressure. So best bet - get him out of white house. And don't forget his little helpers - Senators Tester and Baucus in Montana.

we should all make a youtube video with your words and your thoughts on this subject. post it. and send an email with the link to the highest power you can. everyone on here is pretty friggin smart. as far as ANYONE stating their views against these rediculous plans needs to make it as public as they can. if they have smarts, and a smart way with words get it on visuals and spread it to whoever u can before the reelections. this pipeline would have created si many jobs and many kther jobs that have nothing to do with the pipelines will be created because of it. maybe a new restaraunt will be built close by the pipeline so the workers can reward their own hard work.

but people speaking in front of others seems to have a huge impact. so get yiur views on the matter out there before the cencorship of the internet takes over.

This really simple guys. Obama rejected the pipeline because he does not want private industry in America to succeed. He wants to kill it. He wants to kill any and all independence a free people have. He wants us to completely rely on government when crap gets really bad...which it will.

What will we have then....complete communism and complete tyrannical leadership. Freedom has always been attacked throughout history. It has been attacked from within for decades in the US, not just from the outside! This is ABSOLUTELY no exception!

We will see how "awake" the American people are when it comes election time. If Ron Paul doesn't get in...then the masses are not awake. Most people don't give a chit if their personal lives are not yet affected. They just go on being uneducated robot sheep. Go to work...punch in...go home...eat dinner...watch mindless TV...repeat.

Didn't he reject the pipeline because of the potential environmental issues it would have in and around Nebraska? That's at least what I got from the articles I have read. Everyone is being really down on Obama for rejecting it but in reality if there was a major spill from that pipeline and it contaminated the ogallala aquifer the country would have much more problems than the jobs the pipeline created. With that said I'm actually a big supporter of the pipeline, just not having it go through NE. My guess is that Transcanada will make a new proposal with the pipeline avoiding NE and it will get approved.

Hitler propaganda stayed with this country. after the war, we rounded up allthe surviving scientists. they started working for us. id imagine a few other nazi people with some sort of power were rounde up as well amongst that group.

so like i said in my other "conspiracy" threads, pissing people off by not having jobs such as the pipeline, would start a huge conversation all iver the country and theyd be starting to talk against the government online. remember that extreme talk against the government or what theyre doing is grounds for considering you to be a terrorist. if people are rioting or venting in an extreme way online, youre flagged. so guess what? youre a suspected terrorist. so guess what? you can now be legally arrested and detained indefinitely without the right of a trial. And okay, now no pipeline. that eliminates 20k jobs. how many of those 20k people would go ahead and just rely the government for more handouts? at least for SOME sort of handouts...
