Oakley alterative?

Bolle Vigilantes, with the clear, the brown (brown), mirrored and rose lenses. The Paroles are very similar. Lenses interchange between models. If you can find them, the Vigilante II lenses are the biggest of the group, then the regular Vigilante lens. The Parole model has the smallest lens, more like oakley size.

The Bolle Rose lens is the best flat light lens I have ever found-- highway or sled, night or day. I swear I can see when my buddies can't. (Of course, I might "see" right into the spring hole some day...).

Having a few frames, and assembled a collection of lenses, I found I need to put a 1/4 inch long piece of rubber band in the lens groove at the frame corners to be certain all lenses will snap in securely. Seems that Bolle didn't get the exact same lens build from year to year/model to model.

I have had Maui's, Oakley's, Bolle's, Revo's, Smith's and several others. All great sunglasses. Same problem as most... you break them, lose them, scratch them blah, blah, blah. I found some glasses at a constuction store that I just love. They are called Edge. They are polarized, Z87 rated and true optic lens (no distortion at the edge of the lens). best part is they are $29.99. The styles are pretty modern as well.

My original Frogskins must be considered a classic by now. Maybe more like an antique. :face-icon-small-coo

Oh no my friend, they have brought the old school looking frogskins back.

I like my Oakley Oil Rig's,

I have usually buy a new pair of oaks every 1.5 to 2 years. I like them and will never buy anything else.

Started off with frogskins, then moved to O-frames, then to straight jackets, then to Monster Dogs and now am stuck on the oil rigs. I look like T-Pain......Only WHITE!

I have been wearing Oakley shades for years. Lately I have been fed up with there piss poor customer service when it comes to replacement lens, warrenty, etc. What are some alternative brands that you guys have had good luck with?

Iv have oaks. and love them but yes customer service sucks. Iv worked in ski/bike/watersports shops for 5 years now and i have fell in love with Smith products. Lifetime warranty and some of the best polarized glasses/goggels on the market. Smith gets my vote!

Costa Del Mar

Costa Del Mar makes some great shades. Check them out. Lifetime warrenty, polarized lenses, variety of styles, lenses and mirroring. I've had mine for 5 years and have yet to scratch them. They slide across my dash hit the floor, etc. and have yet to be scratched. Good products that I would puchase again if ever need be.

How do Oakley's suck? if you aren't a moron and sit on them, lose them, smash them, or do stupid stuff to them they are awesome and actually have good styling.

I hear ya.

Ever since my eye surgery in '96, I've had to wear sunglasses when outside, or my eyes pretty much burn up. I've had just about every brand imaginable, but I keep going back to Oakley. I've had the same Flak Jacket frames now for 3 years and just replaced the lenses this spring. For something I wear absolutely everyday, $150 isn't much money. I can't find another similar pair that fit my face like these do.

RUDY PROJECT - ZYONS available in RX=wow effect!!. The next step in highperformance eye wear.... 2yr warranty on frames. best purchase in quite a while.

Oakleys are great but i think theyre lenses could be better coated for protection, my 1st pair was a frogskins in '91, many more after that. But they just didnt hold up..
