Anyone considering ordering an XTX next year and putting a 1.75 or 2.0" track under it? Like what they've done to the front end on the XTX and wonder why they didn't incorporate it into the MTX?

Do you think it would still hold it's own as a decent boondocking sled? I'm not a big climber, looking more for a fun boondocker?

I also wondered why they did not update the front end on the MTX, like they did on the XTX. I am putting a 174X16X2.5 under my 09 XTX that I just snow checked.

Yes I am thinking about snow checking a XTX. The plan is to go with a 16" 144" 2" Or maybe the 16" 146" 2.31" Doo track, this one would require changing to 2.86 pitch drivers. It would be interesting to see which track works better in the wet snow we get in western Wa.
I'm more of a boondocker also. I think with the track change, mountian skis, bar riser, mountian bar and LH throttle the XTX would make a fun boondocking sled! I like the XTX tunnel better then the MTX, the clicker shocks, and revised front end are an added bonus.
