Nytro w/ mods.

How did u lose 13 lbs with turbo, i would love to know if u weighed this. i think maybe your counting the exhaut twice. airbox don't weigh much, turbo, intercooler and plumbing does. you should weigh that thing on acual scales, I lightweighted mine to and the numbers don't add up.

Dont chew my cabbage twice...but if you want to doubt me that is your perogative...

have weighed and measured everything off the sled...when putting on new parts, weighed them versus what was going on...

Have been a part of 3 installs of the NW turbo kit, and am confident in the number

rode my Nytro last year essentially set up the way you stated...could hang with anyting on the hill except boosted sleds...

you hit the two biggest issues right on the nose...timbersled skid, and track change...you will be blown away at what it does...

I have dropped nearly 100lbs. off mine, and it made it a completely different sled...just added boost, and well....it is not in the same hemisphere...

Very tempting let me tell you. Especially since the '10 MTX has everything except a track and some more hp.

What do guys think of the new sled? Minus the price. I hate the price. Regardless though.

I've got the Mtn Tamer rear end, clutching work, and a Polaris series 5.1 track (155), and I can go pretty much wherever my buddies on their 08 or 09 Dragon 800 and Rev XP's can go. It may not out climb them, or out drag them, but I end up pulling out all of them as much if not more than they pull me out. Not to mention the fact that it costs them more $ every trip in fuel (premium over regular, and they consume more) and oil. They will spend about a quart of oil ($5-8), and $0.20 per gallon more for premium fuel and usually another 2 gallons of gas (call it $5 in fuel costs).....it adds up!

Plus, at the end of the day, I'm much much less tired on my Nytro than I was on my Rev. It just doesn't take the energy out of me nearly as much.

sounds like jonny skeptical from yammy video

I am really, really curious to see how this "new" track works. Yammi claims that it is new composite that has better memory and should be stiffer as well as weigh less. If the suspension and track don't need replacing and all that you would have to do is add boost for the ponies, then it makes it a little easier to swallow. If you still have to replace suspension and track - then WTF!

If you look at the weight loss numbers for 2010 they are in the 20 lb range some of which is in the track, sway bar floats etc so not that much out of the skid. Being that the skid has Floats already to me this signals a new market for cro mo suspension arms. I think the 2010 skid looks like it should be pretty decent but in typical Yamaha fashion I'm also willing to wager the arms are going to weigh a ton. On the old Pro Action skid you could drop almost 5 lbs on the front arm alone. Theres no reason I can see that that new skid can't be made to be in the 40 lb range.

Exactly. What did the original drop brackets off a 1 Ton weigh? Too damn much anyways. SledJunkies has a Boosted Vector and pretty much every night I walk into the garage and see it sitting there and pick apart the pieces that are steel, or only have one function that could be made better/lighter.

Another 20lbs wouldn't be too hard knowing Yammi's appetite for longevity.(and steel)

I really wish the price was in the 13k range. Then I would be able to turbo and mod right away. If I do go with a Nytro I think I'll ride it stock for a year(or as close to stock as I can get....if you know me, that's not very stock)
and turbo next season?

I dunno.....a '09 XP for 10-11k with 6k in upgrades is an aweful fun sled. Different type of riding for sure......but an aweful lot of fun.

Too bad Yammi is making my decision so much harder. That's M1000 prices for 130hp.
Maybe I should just buck up and drop the coin for the sled I want in one shot. '10 Nytro Alpine or PL turbo with with with etc.....yeah.....I need another loan. haha
