Anyone think it would help to change the ski's on the nytro? if so what ski's would you go to? I am thinking of going to thoses big FUGGLY simmons just to have a bit more floatation in the deep!

I got the gen 2 snowboards and at first I was a little reluctant but I left them on because I love the flotation....carving is easy....I will post a couple pics tom.

IMO ski's are totally personal preference.

I've tried the big simmons and the slydogs on the Nytro and didnt like either, but thats not to say you wouldnt. The only way to decide is try them, its tough obviously to get your hands on the different makes without dropin lots of coin, but without a test run it's too tough to call IMO.

Those big simmons seem kinda hard to sidehill if the powder isn't really deep - I just tried them out on my Nytro. (162 Challenger, Hartman clutch, stock motor). I'm going to put the stock skis back on and try the Skinz Float plate.

If you want more front end float in powder and less darting on the trails, go with the simmons gen 2. they are ugly but they sure make a big difference in how the sled performs.

They do hold some snow....look at this picture

Even if the clown skis work, they are just so big... I think my manhood would be threatened by such a pair of large appendages on the front of my sled! Unless they had nipples, hell I guess it would be OK if they where pink.
:)

Hey man you get used to them....now a reg ski looks dinky. If you can get your hands on a set to try go for it.

Ya the mounts between the gen 1 and 2s are the same....just need a nytro or phazer mount.

like thistle said,after looking at them for awhile all other skis look skinny and wimpy...i love my gen2's and do they ever work good..

Thanks for all the response guy's i'm kinda thinking along the lines of what darko said that its all personal prefrence, that being said i feel the need for a bit more floatation so i'm gona try the gen 2's. I hate the way they look but i think they'll work pretty good !!:beer;
