Can someone tell me what all is listed as a recall on the 2008 nytro's, my dealer doesnt know. All he does is read the bulletin on yamaha's web site or is there a phone number that I can call to get the list of parts that yamaha is standing behind. Lower ball joints?, subframe? reverse bolt? etc.... thanks

As of yet, I believe there are no "recalls" on the 08 Nytro. Some dealers are warranting the ball joints, maybe the reverse bolt. Haven't heard of anybody getting their sub frame replaced under warranty.

I talked to a yamy rep today and he was saying no recall on the Nytro the dealers are going on a case by case bases. I think what it boils down to is if you have a good dealer thy will go to bat for you and if you don't your on your own

recall

my buddy bought a leftover 08 Nytro a month or so again and just brought it back to the dealership to have the ball joint updated. The dealer said the recall hasn't been officially released yet but will be soon.

jack up your front end, your ski will be looser than a 1985 phaser with 15000km. Mine actually was moving back and forth an inch or more in the a-arm bushings alone, the ball joints start to hang low also and the fiber begins to hang out.. Mine had 1500k, have seen some done at under 900k

I already had the fiber come out of mine, How are these repalced, do they need to be pressed out. thanks

there is a piece of fibre type material above and below the balljoint that will be hanging loosly or gone if real bad. just take the weight off the ski's and if all looks well you didn't ride enough last year.

by youre dealer ship lol . take the snap ring on the bottom out and go from there you may have to press them out , mine fell out though

I took mine to the dealer after I tried numerous times with crazy socket/bolt homemade press configureations. Heated it up, soaked it...

Dealer put a socket under it and hit it with a hammer... I told him I loosened it up for him.

weird 1500 miles on sled and i had them out to powder the arms and they are tight!of course i put oilites bushings in the other end!
