hello people.

me and my buddy were talking last night and he is interested in a nytro turbo at sea level. probably the 180 HP range. how much tuning is involved with this? will it work good at sea level to 3000' MAX? he wants to run pump gas and have a pull and go sled. tune it and forget it! any help is great

Thank you

ok i've done quite a bit of research and i think i'm going to go with the MCX 180 kit for a nytro xtx and will be running it from 0 - 3000' MAX!

now my next question is what size lug track should i go with as an upgrade from the 1 1/4"?

i want to be fast for up hill drags, but i still want to be able to climb good in powder without doing wheelie's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

The longer the track and lug height = more traction. you went with the xtx I'm guessing?? go minimum 153 if not longer with a 2 1/2" lug. The more traction with a turbo is what your after. I'll have a brand new 153" maverick coming off my nytro if your interested.

I have an 08 MTX with two tracks, the stock 153" Mav with the lugs cut down to 1.75" and a 2.5" CE 156". I use the 153" Mav when snow condition are bad then once the deep snow comes I switch to 2.5" since it is so easy to change the tracks. I plan to put in the MCX 180 this year :face-icon-small-coo

I went with the MTX because the XTX was not available, and I glad I did, I like MTX better, wider skis, raised bars & longer tracks. The MTX makes a good cross over sled.

Now I need to find a good place to purchase the MCX 180. :face-icon-small-hap

Good Luck

i live where we do alot of both trail riding and deep snow. so were going with the xtx my buddy can get a hell of a deal on it! but like i said before i don't want to put on too big of a track cause i want to get both pretty good speed and be able to climb real nice! i was thinking a 1" 3/4" or maybe even a 2". this nytro will be for my buddy who like to drag race but wants something that can climb good as well.

anyways i hope you guys can help me out.

i would go with the mtx. i own a 09 M8 153" and would never want anything shorter!

thanks

we do most our riding in the prairies and a couple trips a year in the mountains and have found 1 3/4 to be a nice size. Actually my last track has been a 2" cut down to a little bit less than 1 3/4 and has worked very well, Bites like the factory snocross tracks and is very durable and also cheaper...
