Nytro MCXpress questions

Headshim and timing are done and sled is almost ready to ride. I know the Setup is ready to go and pretty bulletproof at the MCXpress settings out of the box but what do I have to do to run at 15 lbs? just adjust the wastegate and go? Does the EFI controller need any tweaking? Do I have to have an A/F and Boost Gauge or what?

It should have been set by them at around 14lbs but if you want more yes, just shorten your wastegate rod, and run some good fuel. Its a good idea to rig up a little alluminm skid plate under your turbo. This will keep your mc-xpress altitude sensor warm and working right.Without an aluminum plate your mcx sensor might freeze up and you run the risk of overboosting. Also keep the wires to the sensor zipped strapped up neatly out of the way as well.

That altitude boost sensor is not necessary (so I am told). Mine is has a manual adjustment. I am starting out at 7lbs of boost and working my way up from there.

However I am putting the skid plate on to keep the turbo warm to spool up a little faster. I am also running the exhaust under the tunnel to keep the noise down and a place to put the "stuff".

Also gearing down a little for the sake of belt life with the 162 challenger extreme on it.

Ken, in another thread you said "no extention needed" to add a 162. I am not sure I understand how that works.

I put a 162 under the stock tunnel. I have 8" rear wheels and a Timbersled skid. The only rub marks are on the sides, LOL (16 wide)

If you are refering to the Pressure control valve, you were misinformed. It must be plugged in, or the map sensor will start sending tons of fuel at WOT. (I speak of this first hand:D).

You can run a boost controller Tee'd into the line before the PCV, but like i said it is critical to have the PCV pos and neg wire attached.

I wondered about the electronics for the PCV and whether the signal had to have somewhere to go, so I left mine wired up and just mounted it under the hood with the electronics hooked up, just not the pressure lines. Also, that way if someone wanted it hooked back up, everything is there and no missing parts.

No TUNNEL ext needed, you'll need to lengthen your rails or get longer ones of course!

Bing! the light went on. I ment rail extentions. Extending the tunnel never even occurred to me.

I bought parts from Timbersled. Is that you?

alrevedup!
How much did you gear down? Top or bottom gear?
And can you post some pics of that under the tunnel exaust, need some ideas, my mcx kit arrives next week. thanks!:D:D

That there TCV is upside down
If Ice ever got in and then melted, the moisture would never get out so it will inevitably fill up
This thing never pulls air in, it could only let air out and I guess moisture that is in the charge condenses in the outlet
Point the hose end down

Is there much turbo lag with one of these?
Do you use pump gas?
How long does the tank of gas last on the Nytro with this?

Im thinking about buying a Nytro with a turbo

I rode along side one of these yesterday & he didn't use anymore fuel than my stocker!!!!(still stock tank on it too) i rode it & sure didn't seem like much(if any) lag at all!!!! IT PULLS SOOOOO HARD!!!!!!

oh yeah.........pump fuel at 12-14lbs boost

There is reverse on my Nytro so the top gear is changing from a 20 to an 18 with bottom staying a 40.

The exhaust is not fabricated as of yet. When it is done I will post pics.
