nytro mcx clutching

just woundering what you guys are doing for the clutching on your mcx's I have 340 miles on now and have yet to see over 9000 rpm on my sled I have a complete clutch kit and shockwave helix from liepheimer yamaha were my turbo was put on. I have a hard time keeping consistent rpm on a pull it drops to about 84-8500 sometimes lower on a long deep powder climb I though maybe it was the intake plugging up as I went, but boost stayes close I have screwed my shockwave in almost all the way and still cant over rev on the trail and definatly not on the hill. too heavy of weights? I would think I should have no problem pull rpm's with the stock track.

What clutching are you using now? I have the mcx and use 8bu weights loaded with 17.2s and an rxi primary spring(forget the color) with a cat purple sec. and a shockwave helix set @ 51 and am still over-reving a hair on climbs....02:D

i have an invoice with some part #s 8cr-17624-00 rollers 8bu-17605 weights 90261-06033 rivets 90501-55129 spring I am fairly sure the primary and secondary springs are both yamaha and a shockwave helix

I am running the same weights, rollers, rivets but am running Blue - White - Blue primary spring with stock secondary spring set at 80 degrees and a 45 degree helix.

I tried a 45 drg helix but at lower elevations it was hittin the rev limiter. Switched to a 47 but I still dont think its quite the answer. Maybe like a 50/47 as outta the hole it still hits the rev limiter. Anyone tried a multi angle helix?

Yes, it does hit the rev limiter with a 45 at low elevation if you stab the throttle instead of rolling the throttle. I used this setup for Valemont/Mcbride which is around 7000 feet.

I would def. dump the yami sec spring you get much better belt hookup with the cat along with great backshift......02:D
