nytro hyfax wear down

i just put at 121 2 paddle on my nytro rtx and now after 500kms my hyfax are gone there on metal now, anyone else have this problem? if so how can you help me, because its not at the front of the skid like most have there wear its right in the middel and the back, should i run more wheels? not sure what to do i play on everything hard, soft and the deep stuff so im all over some help guys i know one of you have had some kinda problem, thanks for all you input.

We burned off a set of Yamaha hyfax in about 500 miles, this was in mostly deep snow. It's an 08 nytro with apex 162 rails and the hyfax wore out right where the rails tip up towards the back. I have heard that Yamaha hyfax are not the greatest so I installed graphite hyfax from WPS and the wear looks better this time around.

Ive got 1300k on my Nytro hyfax. I have 162 straight rails and no idlers. I did toast one when a scratcher broke and I didn't realize it. You can't run a deep lug track without scratchers unless you're in lot's of snow.

Yamaha's are notorius for buring up hifax. I'm running scratchers on my Nytro MTX and the hifax seems to be holding up fine. Installed scratchers on the wife's 05 Rage this year after burning up hifax in 500 miles each of the first two winters, and they've held up much better. We've had great powder here in Oregon this year which really helps.

I have 150+/- miles on my new nytro and my hyfax has more wear than my rev with 2000 Miles on it....

The nytro skid has very few wheels to keep the weight of the rails off the track. the sliders burn real quickly right at the front bend of the rails & at the rear. after the sliders wear down to 11mm thickness they tend to stop wearing & stay there a long time. I have wore a set of sliders down to the wear line in about 50 miles but then had them stay the same for the next 1000 miles. you can,t use a big wheel kit to add extra wheels because the way the suspension compresses it would hit the extra idlers. Fix has a small wheel kit that i think would help a lot. check em out at fix powersports.
