Hey guys, I am new to the Yamaha world here as a lot of guys are. I am in the final night of installing my MC Xpress Turbo, and need some advice on what to use for handle bar risers. 2 to 3 inches would be good and should not have to lengthen cables. Lets hear what you think? Looks like it will have to come straight up so it needs to be a little longer on the bottom.....your thoughts please

Agreed ^^^^^

Went the CR route...but let me forewarn you if you want to use the stock bars. You need a post that has a total outside length of 3.75" or else they won't work on your bars. If you buy there steering post, you should be good to go. No other plate/pipe adapter works with the exception of Powermadd's newest item. The Universal pivot adapter. You can even use it with your stock riser...as that is what it is meant for.

Here is the link. Part # pm15400 http://www.powermadd.com/products/universal-pivot-riser-system.html

I used the cheaper Powermadd pivot adapter and 4" block. You have to drill out the holes in the stock plate, and grind alittle angle into the top clamps of the Powermadd riser since it's 4.25" wide. I love the setup, it's very comfortable.

I used the powermadd pivot adapter and a 6 inch riser. I am 6'2" and it feels pretty good. It looks kind of cheezy though, if i would do it again i would use either an rtx or aftermarket steering post and a set of risers like the ones from cr racing. it would probably cost a little more, but you get what you pay for. If you know someone that is a decent welder you could probably have your stock post modified to the t-top style, and save a couple bucks.

Check out Monsterworks.ca They have adjustable risers, which I put on my Nytro 8.5 inch fits without any cable mods.Bolt on and go.Besides the supercharger the riser is the best thing I put on my sled by far!!!! I highly recomend them.
