Nytro Fx Exhaust ??????

Why coudn't I just remove the stock muffler, & rivet a aluminum plate under the seat?

The only down side I can see is the noise. However, I would think the combination of the plate & snow would help to muffle the sound?

Anyone try this or have any feed back?

nothing wrong at all, but you just have to figure out a way to get more fuel, as is a/f mixture. If you don't, it will run lean, and be boggy. So, it's going to cost you a black box, ie, boondockers, They are 400 or 500, I think.

it wouldnt be as loud but still loud, just run a longer pipe of your pipe with a can and tip it down befor the flap and braket it up on the tunnel, let me know if you go that way because i was thinking of something like that but im running a 121 so i have to find something really small for a can size..

Had a friend run his around without the muffler for a while and it sounded like an old lawn tractor, literally. If you were to do this i would definitely run it under the tunnel to muffle some of the sound. Anyways he put the stock muffler back on.

Actually it looks like you are running a turbo, so scratch that last post.

he is running a turbo, you can still do the same thing without one just run a tip off the exhaust in a 180dagrees and have it going beside your exhaust can that would work as well just more metal thats all and a little more fabing.

Anyone have any ideas on the HP gains by running without the stock muffler.

Estimates on how much louder it is?

I'd also like to run a tunnel dump exhaust, perferably without a muffler, if I can get away with it.

Can pretty much any 4 stroke street bike muffler be used?

If I dont use a tunnel dump then I'm thinking of running a Ducatti muffler, since they have a littler deeper tone to them then typical Japanese street bike based mufflers.

I think the tone difference is due to engine configuration as a Ducati is a V-twin while most jap bikes are inline fours. V-twin engines normally don't rev as high as an inline four engine does.

Has anyone comeup with a muffler small enough to run? I am also wanting to dump the exhaust in the track area but I do not want run a glass pack. I have it on the vector and do not like it. I was thinking of a dirtbike muffler??
