nytro fuel mileage

I noticed the pop and miss also!

It definitely was not the rev limiter. It seemed to happen when running it hard in powder. When you flip the throttle, it would pop and miss. Once cooled back down, it went away. Very bothersome to say the least!

The clutching is WAY off. I could pull 8800 rpms up the trail and on hard packed snow. In powder I only got 8300. In powder on a climb I could only hit 7800!! The secondary isn't back shifting like it should. I'm going to try tightening up the secondary 10-20 degees until the motor is broke in. At that point, I'm hoping someone has a kit out that works! The sled does handle like no other, tho!! :)

BTW, elevation was 8500-10000'

Mine runs about 9100 on the trail and 8650-8800 in the powder I"ve never heard any pop out of mine(not counting the champange cork) when the xp riders admitted how much better the nytro handles in the snow

I don't use yami sec springs(never have)

I have 531 hard miles on mine and have never noticed a pop or miss. It runs awesome.

Edit: Not saying it doesn't happen, but I have never heard/felt it and neither has anyone else who's ridden the sled(at least 6 other people).

Where we ride. I rode an M7 Last year and always had to add fuel to make the trip back out to the trucks.Yesterday I rode my supercharged Nytro and my friend rode his stock Nytro to the same place, but we went in further and did alot more climbing. We never even took fuel with use.both got back to the trucks loaded onto the trailer and checked our fuel. Both of us used the same amount of fuel,We both have 2 bars left showing!!!I'm thinking that's very impressive especially the s/c one!!!These four strokes are way better than people think even with a smaller tank.

What is everyones plugs looking like? Are they running way rich or lean? I agree with Darko, not a clutch problem. Could be mapping problem or fuel pressure problem, to much pressure or not enough pressure can cause lean or rich conditions reguardless of injector timing. Next time one of you start hearing the popping and stuff, hit the kill switch and pull a plug, that will tell you more than anything. I haven't looked on a Nytro, might be a real beotch to get to but you have to know what's wrong to fix it.

Just got back from Revy.......works better than I thought it would. Putting about 100k a day climbing, carving and 20+km trail ride one way and the fuel light was coming on by the time I got back to the truck. And that was even after adding about 1gal on fuel. Running stock everything and pump fuel (87octane).

I am also having the same symptums. In my case it is definitly the secondary. It has become loose. There is a full 1/16 of an inch of play in the secondary. I have not paid as close attention to the RPMs as you but it is not back shifting the way it should. In the flats it will push a lot of deep snow. In the climbs it does not shift. The turbo guys get it tomorrow. We will see what they say.
The popping sound in my case is the secondary slapping against the retaining bolt. There really isnt a miss in my case. Engine is strong clutching is not.
