Nytro Front A-Arms - ZBros or Skinz?

There probably is a few posts regarding this however I must ask... I understand that both are a great product from what I see. The Zbros looks more robust than the Skinz however may not be the case... I'm looking to be at 40" and +3. If any one has any advice of either or please drop a reply. Also I do plan on upgrading shocks with front end and what ones...I'm leaning towards Exit.

Thanks...

Part of the equation is replacement of a-arms vs replacement of the sub frame. The stock a-arms on our Nytro stayed straight and the subframe bent when a close encounter with a tree occured. Personally I prefer to replace a-arms over the subframe

I agree. I had to replace my subframe after one season. How long will it take to order and receive a upper or lower a-arm from skinz? I wanted just the skinz bag for under the seat. They told me two months.

z bros has been in the suspension business for quite a while and parts will be readily available. Skinz is just getting into the business and have a hard time keeping up with parts demand. both have good customer service. Personally I would buy a suspension from the guys who specialize in suspensions

I went Z bros for the fact that i could run my stock length exit shocks with this kit.

Ya... I know what you r sayin... I see the Skinz are not taking any orders until Feb 2012.. Looks like ZBros and Exit...

Thanks

I personally like the Z-Bros ! Better built arms, nice ball joint, no dumb bent tie rods, they don't use the crap Yammy spindle, Zbros has been on the snow longer ! And the heim joints wont break off !:face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-sho

We talked to Skinz about replacement parts for suspension kits all ready on the snow and basically they will do whatever they can to help get the sled back on the snow asap in the case of a bent Skinz suspension component. They are sledder's as well and have a deep appreciation for the fustration of not being able to ride.

I run the titanium Alternative Impact. 11lb weight loss and can handle quite a beating.

For only a grand===not a bad choice.

What thickness of ti do they use?
I had 2 sets of diamond s ti a arms bust on me with very little impact.
I just don't trust ti anymore, maybe if they upped the thickness a little.

I can't remember, but I will find out. I have had mine for almost 2 seasons now and I am very impressed.
Where did yours break:
At the welds or in random locations?

1 broke at the weld where the helm joint connects to the a arm. Only had about 2 miles on it. Almost killed myself doing 50 mph when it decided to break both sled and me went for a good tumble. Scott was excellent about it and gave me new ones the first time.
The 2nd time it broke was about 3 inches in from the first place it broke.
This time I was jumping a snow bank from a stop and the ski caught some slush when landing then I heard a ping and it was broken. Maybe 180 miles on these. I haven't contacted Scott about the second set as i bought some Z bros.
They sure are light, but I know myself I would like to see them use thicker ti.
Not worth the down time.IMHO

The Ti idea sounds like a good idea BUT, the only thing i have seen/heard is they seem to break before they bend which is not good IMO. Bending is better because it most likely won't hurt you. I won't buy Ti personally.

Although it may seem that way i really had an issue with deletion of a thread because it hurt some feelings about a product that has the potential to hurt someone.

In this thread which is a brand A vs brand B thread i stand by my opinion of the Zbros being the better choice. Just from looking at the two side by side i can see the pros over the cons i mentioned above. I personally have a friend who rides 70-80 days a year with a Nytro Zbros front end and it gets punished. He's a breaker and that Zbros is mint !

I also run their front end and shocks on my own sled and they have been bullet proof. Fit and finish is top notch and when i smashed the bulkhead out of it Zbros had me a 1/2 set of a arms in 3 days. So yes i think Zbros is a great company with great products. Ive had the opportunity to try other brands and they didnt even come close to my Zbros.

Now if my front end snapped off or kept breaking i would have a different opinion and i would be on here with a different story to tell

Merry Christmas
