nytro drop brackets ?

are the drop bracket a structural part of the tunnel on the mtx ? I am just finshing intalling my ZX2 and it used totally diffrent mounts so i dont need the stock drop brackets . so can i cut them off or should i bend up a peice of aluminum and make an L bracket just to tie every thing together again ?

I am running timbersled drop brackets and modified running boards the stock drop brackets actually support the running boards quite a bit but they are heavy 5lbs per side I am adding some alum angle behind the brackets for support as mine now flex more than I like.

I have an Expert-X in mine and was in the same situation. The stock brackets add a lot of rigidity. I reinforced my boards after removing the stock drop brackets.

Get a set of Better Boards from Fbomb. Just put a set on mine and they really stiffened things up. I also have the Timbersled drop brackets...they are significantly smaller than the stock plate, so probably lost some rigidity there, but the Boards made up for it.

the only thing modsledr and squirrel is i dont need drop brackets for my new suspension only to tie the tunnel together . Nikolai do you think you could post some more pics of that sweet tunnel you built ?
