Nytro chaincase bolt!!

Bolt broke

Just replace it, mine did the same thing. That is held in by the bearing in the chaincase.

My Apex does not have reverse. I had to replace this bolt with whatever bolt I could find in the hardware store in Fernie...no idea if it's stronger than stock.

Darko, why don't you think it needs it? Is there not enough room in the Nytro chain case for the lower gear to back off the drive shaft? There is in the Apex.

I don't have time to tear this apart before the weekend....I'm headed to Revy Thursday I guess I better pack enough tools and metric bolts. Tough to find metric bolts in Revy!

Grade 0 (built in Taiwan) to Grade 1 (Built in Korea) ?

They are actually made in China. The lead coating makes the grade .5

The same bolt broke on my Apex and I spent $1091. by the time I got it back from the shop.

3 bolts broke so far, can not explain it except maybe for the gap between the end of the drive shaft and the bushing. Bad design IMO. To many vibes!
