Nytro 42 $ (30 second) Hand Warmer Fix!

One of the only thing's I've been unhappy with on my new Nytro is the hand warmers, you can hardly feel them, even on high. I have been running these the last couple weeks and they work awsome, my hands are now nice and toasty!:D

They velcro on in 30 seconds and do not interfear with agressive riding. I've rolled the sled and I really don't think you could damage these things.

I got them from http://www.skinzprotectivegear.com/snowmobilegear.html

I think you can also get them from Dennis Kirk

but that doest fix the fact that the warmers shut off and turn on at certain rpm..i did what you did and i added hotgrips to the 12v accesory and hotgrips come on and stay on till you want them off..hand's are nice and warm all the time now

ditchbanger ??

ditchbanger,
I thought I was imagining things, maybe touching the handwarmer switch and causing it to go to zero.
Do the handwarmers turn themselves off? Based on what??
Thanks

Have not had mine shut off like yours, mine were just really weak on cold days. I could not even feel them and these solved my problem.

The coldest I have had mine out in is mid teens, but had to keep them at half speed until my gloves got wet then full on for a while to dry them before I had to turn them back down. Mine work good, you may have a problem that needs looked at ? I also have not noticed that they shut off at any perticular RPM, but who knows, I could be missing something?? Good luck with the problem.

I ordered a set about a week ago for my sled. Can't wait to try them out, they look like they'll be really warm on those COLD trail rides home.

The handwarmers shut off when the engine is at idle and when the brake is applied (brake light). I just put a pair of powermadd's on and hope they help. My last couple rides at zero and below were miserable. To say the least.

ive noticed at high speeds mine shut off but, when cruzing they warm up better around 6000plus rmp about 60to75kms an hour there good other than that im running had gaurds that a big that came with my sled RTX er and there about the biggest in the bussiness and find no difference unless im riding hard thats the only way im staying warm lol

hot hands

I cant believe some are having problems with hand warmers. If I adjust mine over half way it's way to hot and i wear thin gloves. Try not turning them all the way up cause if you bump the switch while riding it will go back to zero and then you get nothing.
