You gotter....ran the skid last year with one for a good dozen rides...this year I thought I'd run 2...well they didnt last. Not sure why.....

I have that same seat being built right now, what did you build or use for a shield over the turbo? How much storage did you save?

limiter straps

How are they breaking? By putting two on I am assuming that your have straps lined up over the the drive lugs. With the track slapping around at times with the front end up, if your loops in the straps are to big the driver lugs eat them up. Been there, done that.

timbersled?

yep, same issue last season.

have 2 straps now.

ran one last year...no issues...went to 2 and rode 2 days and they broke...not sure why yet. I have strap guides on my front arm that I put on kinda like what doo uses....I'll have to look is it possible that they hit the drivers when the skid is compressed?

broke one last year on my stock sled. i try to remeber to check them before i go out now. turns out you can ride with one..but i wouldn't push it long.

When I was installing my Tsled skid I thought the one strap looked kinda wimpy compared to to others I've had. I put it in like that but maybe I'll beef it up.

How much air pressure are you running in your rear shock...

I've upped my pressure to 200 psi at riding altitude with the rear shock COMPLETELY unloaded ( I did this after talking to Budd at TS, and a couple of other boosted Nytro owners). This helps slow down the transfer. (the other option is to get the newer Float Evols with adjustable compression damping).

The key is to check your pressure with the rear of the sled COMPLETELY unloaded, and at altitude.

I'm running 150 psi but I still think it bottoms to easy IMO....I sent the shock back this summer to have it revalved and i think it is better but maybe i should try more air?? 200 is ok?? I dont think the pump goes that hi does it??

I had 2 straps on here guys...I rode last year with one....NO issues...switched to 2 just because its tougher right...2 days...and this pic was mid day day 2 so I'm not sure when they broke....I thought a few times...man its light up front...but it was sunny...no tracks....you get the picture:D I never even knew until a few days later looking under the sled....

I had this skid in my 1200 wc last year and it transfered too much too. I had to move the bottum of the rear shock forward 3/4 of an inch, just far enough so that the holes didnt overlap, like you would on a m10. I had to run less pressure after the change, from 200 psi to 125 psi. I had my rear shock revalved stiffer to alens specs, didnt help untill i moved that shock. I'm 300 lbs in my riding gear, but I had a 225lb guy on it and it bottuned out on him too.

You know i thought about that...so just far enough for the 3/8 bolt to clear the old hole and leave a little meat in between huh...I may try this.

Oh, it was the strap, I though it was that you were track poaching on a T- Nytro.:face-icon-small-win

Seriously, lets keep this thought going, I have had noticed more of an issue wheelieing in 3 feet of fresh while trying to get up a decent pitch than on semi packed hills. I figured I've got to bump up the rear pressure some more.

I'd rather keep the front end down and keep moving up...

My limiter strap broke that same weekend in Revy Thistle, I was wondering if it was not the brutal trails going up to the hill. Rode all last year with no problem and first ride out this year it breaks, it must have been the trails.
